The Magnum Model - Page 3

“Sounds like she’s under everyone.”

Angela throws her head back and laughs. I laugh too as my cheeks heat up. That’s what I like about Angela—she’s so quick to laugh. She always makes you feel like you’re Ali Wong on stage killing it.

“How’s work going with Miss Winters?” Angela asks with a tilt of her head. “Is she looking to add any talented young painters to her roster?”

“Unfortunately, no,” I quickly answer. “She just has room for one.”

I have to get this problem solved. There are a ton of talented artists in the city who would kill to be in my position. One of them is standing right in front of me.

“I need another model,” I tell her.

“Was she happy with Gavin?”

I sigh as I run my fingertip over my sweating water glass. “Not really.”

“Why not? He’s gorgeous.”

“Yeah, but that’s not really what she’s looking for…”

She stares at me blankly.

“She wants a big…” I raise my eyebrows.

She just stares cluelessly.

“You know… a long…”

Still staring.

“A big cock. She wants a guy with a huge cock.”

The elderly couple near me whip their heads around with a frown.

“Oh!” Angela says with wide eyes. She leans in and whispers. “How big are we talking?”

“Big,” I whisper back. “As big as they come.”

She straightens her back and lets out a low breath. “I don’t know anyone like that.”

“Damn it,” I mutter. “Oh, well. Then I guess I’ll get the grilled grouper with a salad. No, wait. French fries.”

She leaves to punch in my order and I drop my head on the table with a heavy sigh.

That smug hostess Candice comes strutting back over with a glossy fashion magazine in her hands. “The restaurant doesn’t have magazines,” she says as she places it in front of me, “but I felt so bad for you that I decided to lend you my own.”

I stare up at her with dead eyes.

“You’re welcome.”

She turns and leaves. Before I realize what I’m doing, my arm darts out and I grab her wrist.

“Umm, why are you touching me?” she asks in a voice that’s dripping with contempt.

I let go immediately. “I need your help.”

Her nose twists up as she looks down at me. “The waitress will be back soon. I don’t serve guests. I just seat them.”

“It’s not about that,” I say, keeping my voice low. “I’m a painter and I’m looking for a specific kind of model.”

She flicks her hair and gives me her warmest smile. “I would love to!”

“No, no!” I quickly say. “Although, yeah! Maybe later, for sure! You have amazing cheekbones and a wonderful… hairline.” Hairline?!?

But it seems to work on her. Candice is the type of girl who survives off of compliments. She gets nourishment from them.

“I’m looking for a male this time around,” I tell her. “And Angela said that you are the person to talk to. The kind of social lynchpin who knows everyone in the city worth knowing.”

“She said that?” Candice says, looking skeptical. “I thought she was trying to get me fired. She told the boss I made a woman cry yesterday, but it wasn’t my fault. Her coat was from like six years ago. I was only telling her to be nice.”

“I know!” I say as I casually hide my coat behind me. “You just wanted to save her the embarrassment, right?”

“Exactly.”

“It would have been rude not to say anything.”

She smiles warmly at me like she’s finally found someone who understands her.

“So, what can I help you with?” she asks. “You’re looking for a model?”

Jackpot.

“Yeah, my boss wants someone specific. Someone willing to pose nude who also has a big…”

“Cock?”

“Exactly!”

Maybe this girl is not so bad after all.

“Oh!” she says with her face lighting up. “I know just the guy!”

“Really?!”

“Yes! Cole Hunt. Perfect body. Flawless face. He’s an artist’s dream!”

“And what about his…?”

“I haven’t seen it,” she says in a low voice. “But apparently, it’s the biggest around. He plays hockey with one of my boyfriends and even they can’t get over the size of him.”

“He’s seen it?”

“Oh yeah,” she says with a chuckle. “In the shower after the game. It’s the size of a Kielbasa sausage.”

“Perfect.”

The woman from the elderly couple is still eavesdropping, only now she doesn’t look annoyed. She looks intrigued.

“Do you think he would be up for a modeling job?” I ask her with my fingers crossed under the table. I cross my toes too just for an extra boost of luck.

“I’ll get my boyfriend to ask him,” she says. “They’re playing hockey tonight, so it’s perfect. My boyfriend is a lawyer, so he can convince anyone to do anything. Trust me. He’s good. He convinced me to do anal on our third date and I never thought I’d do that.”

“Okaaay,” I say as I drop my eyes onto the magazine. “That would be amazing. Thank you, Candice.”

“Give me the time and address,” she says as she hands me a pen and paper. “And I’ll make sure that he’s there.”
