I shrieked out excitement as we embraced again. Barrett introduced Evelyn to our table of friends, and Evelyn took a seat next to Magnus and Ari. The waiters topped off all our glasses full of champagne, then Connor cheered us.
Back slaps and cheering swirled around us as the girls started brainstorming the perfect wedding venue. Greeted with eye rolls from the boys, they quickly changed the subject to wedding cars which went on for I don’t know how long.
“How about the honeymoon?” Pepper’s question cut through the back and forth.
“Bora Bora is meant to be beautiful,” Olivia exclaimed.
“More like how about the bachelor night,” Magnus added with back slaps from Connor and Ari.
Barrett leaned in, his mouth on my ear. “Come with me,” he said, his gravelly voice low. Exhilaration shot up my spine as his breath set off the familiar ache between my thighs.
He stood, then held out my chair. “Wait, where are you two going?” Pepper asked.
“Just taking my fiancé for a spin on the dance floor,” Barrett said.
“But we were just going to talk about the wedding dress,” Grace stressed.
“I’m sure you guys have it covered.” I smiled, unable to quell my excitement about being alone with Barrett. The wedding dress could be a fucking rainbow at this point.
He squeezed my hand, and we both slid away from the table toward the dance floor. Abruptly, he took a sharp left, so we were heading back behind the band and through a black velvet curtain.
The band’s road cases were the only thing back here, and we were surrounded by darkness, the idle chatter of the guests nearby barely audible.
He spun me around, his warm breath on my skin. “I can’t wait any longer to have you.”
“Well, don’t,” I whispered.
His lips crashed onto mine as our tongues desperately claimed one another. I held the lapels of his jacket and pulled him into my chest. He groaned in my mouth, then lifted me onto a road case pushing my legs apart and standing between my thighs. I felt his thickness through the satin of my dress, and an ache throbbed between my legs.
He left my mouth and went on his knees, pushing aside my lacy thong, his tongue dipping into my folds. I gripped his hair in my hands and moaned at his burning touch.
“Fuck, I love you, dollface,” he said before burying his face between my legs.
“I love you,”I said, tilting his face up to meet mine.“Barrett, I need you inside me, now.” The desperation threatened to take over my entire body.
He stood, and I quickly made light of his belt, button, and zipper, freeing his engorging erection.
He clasped my face in his hands and kissed me deeply as he entered me. With my butt at the edge of the road case, he held me in place, entering me further. I wrapped my hands around his neck, absorbing all he had to give me. A throaty groan left his lips as he buried himself inside me, deeper and deeper.
Heat coursed through my body in a delicious burn, and as I came, I bit down on his jacket, stifling my own moans.
“Lourde,” he moaned as he shot his seed into me.
His lips ravaged mine in a kiss that was breathy and warm, sending my body tingling with emotion.
After a minute, we disentangled.
“And to think, we have our whole life to do that again and again,” Barrett said, unable to wipe the smirk off his face.
“Mr. Black, don’t tempt me for round two,” I teased.
He grinned. “We should get back before they notice we’re missing.”
“Could you imagine Mom’s face if someone caught us back here!”
He stopped me from walking ahead. “Wait, Lourde. There’s one more thing.”
Reaching into his jacket pocket, Barrett produced the heart-stopping flawless diamond ring.
“Our forever starts tonight, dollface,” he said, holding open the ring box.
I gasped. “Barrett, it’s stunning.”
He slid the ring on my finger, then traced my fingers with kisses. Turning my hand over, his lower teeth grazed my palm, sending a flutter to my core. “Now, back to that round two…” His eyes flared.
I kissed him on the lips, pulling him close. “You’re on.”
