Adriana’s giggle was in my ear as I watched him turn the lock. “This is happening?” she asked, entwining her fingers with mine. I took a swig from the bottle.

“Why not?” It was just about my last night with Aaron. I might as well make it count. Eyelids heavy, I watched as he strode over to us, touching the opening of the bottle to his lips once he got close. He obliged me, taking a drink. I passed the bottle back to Adriana when he finished. “Let’s give you a last hurrah before you have to be Mr. Cole again.”

“Nina…” Aaron shook his head, trying to fight the visible arousal that made him drag his lower lip between his teeth. I remembered this look on him. “Baby,” he murmured, his voice low and velvety. The word sounded like a warm caress coming from his lips. “Come on. You’ve had a lot to drink. You don’t have to give me any sort of — ”

“Shut up.” I forced myself to glare at him, to show him that I meant business. “Don’t be a gentleman right now. You have the entire school year to be a gentleman.” I grabbed a hold of him by a handful of his shirt, pulling him close. “Finish the summer with me. In a way you’ll remember.”

Ever the wingwoman, Adriana helped me appeal to Aaron, sliding one slender hand up my bare torso as the other pulled down the right strap of my bra. Eyes fixed on his, I covered her hand with mine, guiding it further and further down until my breast was exposed.

“Okay?” I asked him, letting my neck roll to the side as Adriana’s lips began brushing along its length.

He surrendered easily to me, his gaze quickly sleepy and full of lust as he nodded.

Taking his hand, I guided him to the edge of the bed. Once he was seated, I reached for Adriana, bringing her close so that we stood facing one another in front of Aaron. Hooking my finger in the space between the cups of her bra, I pulled her in for a soft kiss. I heard Aaron’s audible pleasure as I opened my mouth for her tongue, all the while reaching around her back to undo her clasp. I sucked lightly on her lower lip as I unhooked her b

ra, pulling it to the front so she could let it slide off of her arms and onto the floor. As the lacy material fell to my feet, I felt Adriana’s hands guide mine to her naked chest, her fingers wrapping mine around her full breasts. Pulling away from her kiss, I turned my eyes to Aaron as I let her undo my bra, my fingers squeezing her lightly as she did so.

I grinned at the sight of Aaron’s dropped jaw, his ragged breathing making his chest heave as his gaze interchanged between my full hands and my expression of mischief. He looked lost in his arousal, ready to spiral out of control the moment Adriana whipped my bra off, her hands on my breasts as she pushed my body backwards into Aaron’s so that I sat in his lap as she straddled mine, kissing me deeply.

“Fucking Christ,” Aaron breathed hard, putting his hands over Adriana’s and tightening her grip around my breasts. He kissed the back of my neck, drawing his warm tongue across it, sucking on my skin as my hips swiveled on top of him, rubbing circles against his rock hard cock. Moaning into Adriana’s mouth, I took one of Aaron’s hands from atop hers, bringing it down to my lap and slipping it into my panties.

Stretching, I opened my eyes to a dark room. I registered the warmth of Aaron’s body nestled behind mine before I glanced at the clock — 4:28AM.

“Baby.” His low murmur came from behind me as we both rustled under the sheets of the bed. I blinked at the bottle of Absolut on the nightstand, then at my white lingerie set strewn across the floor. His white button up lay just a couple feet beside my bra.

“Oh… God,” I half-laughed, half-moaned, my head throbbing as I recalled our night. Aaron had still been fully clothed by the time Adriana excused herself from our room. Harry had come knocking, starved for dinner when she decided to leave us alone together, grabbing a pillow to cover herself before hopping out the door. She’d been gone for less than a second before Aaron turned me onto my back on the mattress, pinning my hands above my head and kissing me hard before reaching into my bag for a condom.

But once it was on, the sex that followed was nothing like its foreplay. It was soft, sweet, our lips never once leaving one another’s. I’d been every bit convinced as he kissed me that we were sinking into the sheets, into the bed, spiraling into another world completely. The calling, teasing voices outside had gone from faraway to nonexistent as his fingers intertwined with mine above my head, his free arm wrapped below my arched back as his body thrust gently inside of me.

The memory of dozing off directly afterwards was faint, but I could recall our tired bodies taking just a few moments to catch our breaths before immediately forming the cozy, nestling position we found ourselves in now, and then falling asleep. That had to be around six hours ago.

Aaron’s breath tickled the back of my neck as we lay awake now, his soft lips dotting my skin with kisses every couple of seconds.

“Are you up now?” I whispered.

“Yes.” He kissed my shoulder, quiet for a little. “Want to go for a drive?”

I blinked. “Okay.”

The sky still dark, we slipped out of the house. Though I held my hand out only playfully, Aaron handed me the keys to the Jeep. And so for the first time in three years, I drove.

Parked right in front of the glistening water, I sat on the hood of the car, my legs wrapped around Aaron’s torso as he leaned against the bumper in front of me. The silence felt calming, sweet. My head still a little foggy, I managed to relax, to enjoy nothing but the sound of crashing waves and the feeling of Aaron’s hands clasped around mine as my arms draped over his broad shoulders.

When he turned his head, I leaned over, waiting to listen to him speak. But instead of speaking, he kissed my lips.

“You are my fantasy, Nina,” he murmured. Turning to face me, he held the backs of my knees. “And it’s not because you fulfilled every one I ever had this summer. And more.” I smiled, playing with the soft fabric of his white V-neck, letting him wrap my legs around him once again, crossing them at the narrowest point of his back.

“Why is it then?” The ends of my hair grazed his cheeks as the breeze blew it forward.

“Because you’re beautiful and real. And despite what you may think, you’re strong. You have no intention of letting anyone change you ever again when some people are the opposite. They lose themselves on purpose.” He caught the locks of my hair blowing in the wind and gathered them, clearing them away from my cheeks. “You don’t take the easy way out. You’re genuinely sweet but there’s also this little rebellion in your heart, and when it comes out, you get that look in your eye.” He paused, his smile crooked. “That look you got when you’d tap your pen on your lip, when you heard something interesting in class.”

My heart fluttered at the mention of the pen tapping.

“Whatever ride it was that you went on this summer,” Aaron laughed softly, “thank you for taking me with you.”

“No problem.” My lips smiled against his kiss, my head light, content as I only thought about the moment, the sound of the drifting water and the cozy feeling of his hand gently cupping my face. “I don’t think I would’ve gone on it without you.”
