Shower done and clothes changed, I grab my keys, make sure everything is locked up, and I am in my LeBaron driving down the street. Window down, I can't help but recognize how much her presence in my life has calmed me outside of the times I need to be hard and dark. I haven't had much light in my life since my mom passed. With Lily, I can let my guard down and just… be.

The conversation with Dario about her sister keeps replaying in my mind, and I know I need to call her but not right now. Pulling up to the curb, I throw the keys to the valet. "Don't move it unless you absolutely have to. I shouldn't be too long."

"Yes, Sir." I walk inside of the gallery, eyes searching for my woman. I hear her melodic laugh before her scent reaches me by the entrance. I stop walking for a moment to look at her. My eyes trace the contours of her ass which is plastered by a too-tight dress. Her legs and thighs are highlighted by the heels she is wearing, flaunting my body in a room full of body bag occupants.

She throws her head back and laughs at something, and my cock starts playing hide and seek. Her blonde, thick, shiny hair is thrown back, swinging at the top of her luscious ass, and I let the groan permeate the room, giving two shits who hears it. Of course, there is some douche with a death wish standing too close to her, his eyes feasting on my buffet. "Move or die, little boy. Mine." I say over his shoulder. Lily gasps, her eyes sparkling with arousal at my show of ownership in public. Yeah, my girl loves that caveman shit.

"Julio." her hand lands on my chest, and she gives me her version of a disapproving look like I am going to fall for that shit. Anyone else would think she is reprimanding me, but I can see the lust in her. The minx inside of her is purring against my chest, begging me to show this room full of nobody's whose woman she is.

"He was standing too close," I say, pouting before taking her lips in a sensual journey of promise. "You are mine, Angel. No one else should be able to look at you, let alone be so close they can smell your sweet cunt." Her intake of breath makes me smirk. "Are you done here?" I am tired of sharing her with the riff-raff.

"Let me make sure." Her ass sashays back and forth as she makes her way across the room to Jewel. I don't hide my erection as I salivate like Pavlov's dog, trained by the finest ass I have ever licked. I watch as Quinn, Jewel's shadow, moves in closer to her and gives me a nod. Dario must have sent for his wife. My Angel turns and looks at me, her smile wide and brighter than the morning sun. "All set, babe." I love it when she calls me pet names. What a sappy fuck.

"Let's go, baby." Once I have her seated in the car, and her seatbelt buckled, I pull out onto the street. "Did you have a good day?" I ask her, taking her hand into mine and putting it in my lap.

"I did, actually. It was so satisfying to once again be of some use. It did make me miss my sister more." Her cute face scrunches up when she mentions her twin, and my chest begins to hurt. Anytime she is hurt, upset, or genuinely unhappy, I feel it on the inside, and all I want to do is fix it.

"Do you both deal in art?"

"Deal, no. But, we are both art majors and have volunteered at the New York Art Gallery since we were old enough to be allowed in. Chiara is more interested in Realism as it converges into Art-Deco. Me, I am more…free thinking. My love of art was founded in the Romanesque period of the mid-century. The architecture of their stonework and buildings was unrivaled. I soon discovered Dadaism. Something about being able to use avant-garde art to express one's opinion of war was unheard of, but it was revolutionary and spoke to the person inside of me who has always felt hushed. You know?" Her eyes are dancing with excitement as she talks to me, and I find myself excited with her. From the driver's seat, I can only get glimpses, but I can see the joy art brings her and how she has used it as a way of coping with her own life. But now, I am more focused on modern art or more on how to help artists break into the field." God, she is so fucking beautiful, but she is also smart. Brilliant and caring.
