Once everything was arranged, the guys drenched the place in petrol, soaking every square inch of that fucking building. The fumes were so strong that my eyes were watering as Seb strapped the gun to my body.

“I know you’re going to want to go fucking apeshit with this thing,” he said, smiling as he took in the sheer delight that was plastered on my face. “But a little is going to go a long way with all these fumes, okay? You need to light it and get back before inhaling too much of this shit.”

“Exactly,” Tristan said, wrapping his arms around my waist and letting his hands linger on my stomach. “If we’re putting a baby in there soon, we want you to be as healthy as possible.”

“Oh my god,” I said, pulling away from him and laughing. “Would you guys knock it off with the baby shit? It’ll happen when it happens. Now, how do I turn this fucker on?”

Seb smiled and walked me through how to use it before taking a few steps behind me and letting me go to fucking town with it.

It was a powerful toy, nearly making me swing it out of control with the force of the fire coming out of it. The petrol caught and spread quickly. And as I turned it off, I took a second to watch the place go up in flames before walking back outside with Seb.

The four of us were the only ones left. We sent the other guys back home after everything was set up to burn. So the four of us stood there for a moment, making sure the entire place caught on fire before jogging back to where we had parked the cars.

As we piled in, me and Elliot in one car and Seb and Tristan in the other, we heard the sirens off in the distance.

“Perfect timing,” I murmured to Elliot as I rested my head on the seat. It had been a long fucking day, and I was ready to crash and burn when we got home. After a shower. A very long, very hot shower.

“Let’s get you home, love,” he said, leaning over to kiss me on the cheek before we pulled out of the lot.

The ride home was silent, but I didn’t mind. It gave me time to digest everything that had happened and really let myself be aware of just how different my life was going to be from now on.

Just one more person to get rid of, and then that piña colada was calling my name.
