Ripe for the Alpha

My bear is all amped up inside, pacing and snarling. He wants to get out and deal with this scum himself.
Every snarl and growl says the same thing. Kill him. Maim him. Make him pay.
He did this to my mate. He let those savages put their hands on her. I can’t forgive that and I can’t let it slide.
“Austin!” It’s Ellie’s voice. Her smell fills the air as she runs up beside me.
As much as I want to kill this bastard, I’ll do whatever she wants. It is her father after all.
She stops at my side and looks down at her father who’s still on the ground, looking even more pathetic than he is.
“You really did it,” she says in a low voice. “Didn’t you?”
“No!” he quickly snaps. “Don’t be ridiculous!”
“Don’t lie to me,” she warns. “I don’t have the patience for any more of your lies.”
“I wouldn’t do such a thing!” he shouts. “I don’t even have five million dollars!”
“I saw the insurance policy you took out on me, Dad! Five million dollars available for ransom in the event of a kidnapping. What was that all about?”
His face drops. He’s so fucking guilty.
Kill him. Do it!
My bear won’t shut up. He keeps snarling in my ears.
“That was nothing,” he says with his voice racing in panic. “You must have misread it! I don’t know what you think you saw, but I’m innocent. Innocent!”
“Just admit it,” she says, not buying any of his bullshit. “And we’ll let you go.”
He shakes his head. “I did nothing of the sort.”
Ellie lets out a long sigh. I put my hand on her shoulder.
“Want me to get it out of him?” I whisper.
She nods.
My lips curl up into a grin as I step in front of him.
His eyes widen as I peel off my shirt and kick off my shoes.
“You’re going to tell your daughter exactly what you did,” I say as I pull my pants down. “Or I’m going to let my friend out and he’s not as understanding as us.”
“I… what… I didn’t do a thing.”
“You had your chance,” I say as my heated eyes narrow on him.
With a deep breath, I release my bear and let him come raging out. My eyes are locked on his terrified face as my body swells and my bear explodes out of me, huffing and snarling over him.
He screams in terror and the smell of urine fills the crisp night air.
“You could have just told me the truth for once,” Ellie says quietly as my polar bear steps forward.
Just scare him, I warn. Don’t kill.
My bear opens his huge jaws as her father screams. I’m grinning as my polar bear puts her father’s whole head into his mouth.
“Okay! Okay!” he screams when he gets a good look at my bear’s tonsils. “I did it! I did it!”
With a huff my bear lets him go and steps back. Her father’s hair is wet with saliva and his face is twisted in panic.
“You don’t understand,” he says as he looks at Ellie. “We were going to lose everything! Everything!”
“And now you’re going to lose your daughter too,” she says. “I want you both out of my life.”
I phase back and quickly get dressed as her mother and Damon step outside.
“Please don’t report us to the police,” he says with a shaky voice. This guy is more worried about himself than about losing his daughter. I should have let my bear swallow him.
“You just reported yourself,” she says before turning away. “This guy is the Sheriff.”
His eyes are bulging as he looks at me.
“Leave. Now. And if we ever see your face again, my bear won’t be so fucking calm. I guarantee it.”
He flees to the car as his wife watches.
“You knew too, didn’t you?” Ellie asks her with an accusing glare.
“It was your father’s idea,” she says with a dismissive wave of her hand. “You know I don’t pay any attention to his business.”
“Just like you don’t pay any attention to your daughter.” Ellie shakes her head in disgust. “Go with Dad. You’re out of my life.”
The mother is about to say something, but then she leaves with a shrug.
I’m glaring at the car as it pulls onto the road while Ellie cries in my arms.
It’s hard for her now, but this is the best thing for her. We’ll be the loving family that she never had.
She’ll have me and I’ll make damn sure that it’s enough.
Chapter Nine
Ellie
The Sheriff’s cock is in my mouth, but really, it’s not my fault. I’ve never been able to resist a man in uniform.
Austin was looking so goddamn sexy with his crisp shirt and round hat that I just had to pull him away from the press conference.
I mean, most of the reporters aren’t even here yet.
Well to be honest, the room was pretty full, but there must be at least one journalist that was stuck in traffic or had to take a pee break or something.
