“Can I not call you precious names? You are soon going to be the mother of my child.” He lifted her wrist and pressed a kiss to her pulse.
“What if he loved her?” Milah asked.

“What if Valentino loved my aunt Alicia, and he took her to protect her because he knew deep down that there was a fate worse for her if she stayed.”
“I don’t know why you’re so obsessed with this, but it doesn’t matter. Alicia never survived what happened, and my grandfather, he’d later marry, have my father, and be known as one of the worst De Lucas to ever live.”
