Tilly - Page 18

Every moment, every moan—but only when she wanted the same.

I smiled when Luca informed me she was sending him wild. It was the same for me. I wasn’t ready for the assault on my senses. Only ten minutes of being near her, scenting her and seeing her again was amazing. Just knowing she was real, no longer a figment of my imagination.

And Luca and Jackson backed me, agreeing with me this was her, reassuring me she was safe. She was never safe. I knew I was right with what I did.

I shook my head and sighed because I knew this wouldn’t go down well. Just seeing her frightened face as she stared at me, her eyes frozen to mine.

She recognised me.

But what did she see?

Regardless, she’s mine, and nothing could stop us from being together.

“Do you think Sandy knows?” I asked when I went back to Luca. “Who she is?”

Luca shrugged a shoulder. “Until today, Sandy thought Tilly was a beta, and she’s never been interested in her before because she never wanted a beta. But I assume, the way she is looking at her, that she is wondering why we invited Tilly. And the trouble is, Sandy is sly and I’m sure she could lure Tilly into a trap if she thinks she is an omega. Unfortunately, Tilly keeps doing omega things when she is nervous.”

I noticed that myself, when she fidgeted with the napkin, running it through her fingers, testing the texture, the softness. For sure, she was an omega. She wanted to hide it; she wanted to disappear among the betas, pretend she was average, pretend Jackson, Luca and me wouldn’t cherish her.

I unclenched my fists and rubbed my hands against my trousers. Unable to stop the desperate need I had for her. I struggled to control myself and growled. The sound came from the depths of my stomach.

Her back straightened as she clenched her thighs together. A tiny whimper escaped her parted lips, and I really wanted to slam my mouth on hers until those pretty lips were so swollen they could burst.

She made a phone call and abruptly left.

I followed her out of the restaurant, trying to keep a modest distance. Though with her sweet scent floating behind her, there was no way I wouldn’t find her.

She glanced at the Bentley idling outside the restaurant and I hung back just a little, waiting for her to get in, and then I was going to jump into the car with her. Because she needed to know, she needed to know exactly what I’d do for her.

“Fuck,” I said, kicking the door to the hotel as the taxi pulled away. But my mouth broke up into a wide smile. “Tilly, Tilly, Tilly... You are going to make this fun.”

Nothing an alpha liked to do more than to chase his omega.

Find her, chase her, fuck her, mate her and love her.

“I’m ready, Tills. Hope you are.”
