So I Married a Werewolf - Page 58

The entire world burst into flames. I threw my head back, letting out a howl. My skin split, fur filling the void. Bones cracked and rearranged. Healed.

I was a fucking wolf, and it had never felt so good.

Pedro’s eyes widened. I prowled toward him, growling. I nipped at him, just to see what he’d do, and he jumped back.

“Don’t like your chances so much now?”

“You don’t know how to fight a real wolf.”

“I’ve fought some of the best wolves in the business. And I studied their every move.”This time, it wasn’t a warning nip. I went for his front leg, returning the favor he’d given me when he thought he could take me down in my human form.

His blood splattered the stage, and he let out a yelp.

My pack stalked forward, giving him nowhere to run. No way to escape. I’d asked them not to fight for me, and they were honoring my request. They were making sure I got this fight.

Pedro took another dive for me, but now he was off-balance, and he missed. It gave me a clear shot at his neck. I latched on and shook. He whined, crying out as I hit ligaments. We could survive a lot of injuries in our animal forms, but a broken neck was almost impossible to come back from.

“Stop,”he wheezed. “Please. You can have her. Just let me see my kids.”

“Logan! Please don’t kill him,” Cindy pleaded. “You’ve proved your point. He surrendered.”

I stopped shaking him, but I held onto him for another moment.

“You won’t bother us again,”I said. It wasn’t a question.

Pedro dragged his body away from mine. “No.”

“We’ll let you see the kids, once you’ve got your life together. I’m not sending those babies to some cave in the middle of the forest.”

“Yeah. You’ll be hearing from me.”He pulled himself to his feet. “I hope you can handle her.”

Pedro limped away. Hugo and a couple of the guys from the Green Mountain pack followed him.

Cindy walked over to me, bumping against me. “I’m proud to have a mate like you fighting for me.”

“I will never stop fighting for you.”

“Why don’t we get cleaned up and we can pick up where we left off?” Bibi asked. “We haven’t finished the ceremony yet. I want to make sure we don’t leave any loopholes open.”

“He won’t be back. Pedro is a lot of things, but he knows when he can’t win a fight. He’s not a stupid wolf.”Cindy sighed. “Can we finish the ceremony back at Green Mountain Village?”

“I’d like that.”

“I don’t see why not. As long as we can film it. We definitely gave the humans here the show they paid for.”
