“Hell yeah,” Demon called. “We had breakfast made by Meg, and now we get lunch made by Bristol. This is a pretty damn good day.”

I had known that Bristol was going to be here, but a heady feeling settled over me hearing her name. Just down that hallway was one of the most gorgeous women I had ever laid my eyes on. And once I stepped into that kitchen, I was going to have to pretend I hadn’t seen her naked and spread out before me like a fucking buffet for me to do whatever I wanted with.

Zig and Zag led us into the kitchen. Apollo and Princeton were sitting at the island, which had platters of food laid out on it.

“God damn,” Frost laughed. “I guess us bikers get Meg, and you guys get Bristol, huh?”

“Sounds about right to me,” Apollo chuckled. “Help yourselves to whatever Bristol made.”

Except Bristol wasn’t in the kitchen.

Her delicious food was there, but there was no sign of the cook.

Zig still wore the sunglasses, and he bumped into the kitchen island. “Don’t you guys turn the lights on around here?”

Demon snatched the sunglasses from his head. “I swear to God, you and your brother share a brain.”

“A small brain,” Frost muttered.

“If I wasn’t so hungover, I would be offended.” Zag raised his middle finger at Frost. “This is all I have in me right now.”

“Eat,” Demon ordered. “You both should have woken up earlier instead of s

leeping in and then moaning and groaning about coming here.”

Zig grabbed a bun and plopped it on his plate. “Whatever, Dad.”

A crash sounded in the pantry, followed by a muffled scream.

We all raced to the sound and saw Bristol on the floor with scattered cans and paper plates around her.

She blew her hair out of her face, and waved the can in her hand. “Uh, hey.”

“You okay, Bristol?” Apollo laughed.

She managed to get off the floor but put her foot down on a can and fell back on her butt. I tried to rush to her side, but Murphy and Princeton were to her first.

“What the hell are you doing, Bristol?” Murphy asked. “I thought you just came in here to get something for dinner?”

They helped her off the floor and kicked some of the cans of food out of the way.

Bristol laughed nervously. “Uh, well, the can I needed was on the top shelf, and I tried to reach it.”

“By climbing the cabinets?” Apollo asked.

Bristol shrugged. “It’s not like I haven’t done it fifty times before. This pantry is huge, and it’s hard for me to reach the things on the top shelf.” She shooed us with her hands. “Go back to eating. I’m sorry to bother you guys.”

Apollo shook his head and walked back into the kitchen. Everyone followed, but I hung back.

I reached for Bristol’s hand and threaded my fingers with hers. “Are you okay?”

She smiled shyly. “Uh, yeah. I just lost my balance, and I stumbled. Nothing to worry about.” She stared down at our hands.

“Bri, look at me.”

She tipped her head back, and her eyes connected with mine. “What’s up?”

This wasn’t Bristol. Not the one I had gotten to know the past two weeks. “Are you sure you’re okay?”
