The Sunset Job (The Rainbow's Seven 1)

“Mhmm,” Wyatt said, fingers exploring, soft kisses landing on either cheek. He opened Roman again and asked, “Can I?”
Roman knew exactly what he meant, his “Yes” coming out strangled with a moan. Wyatt pushed forward, burying his face in Roman’s ass, his tongue flicking up and down, his entire face moving with it. The scratchiness of his shaved face added another layer of sensation that Roman wasn’t prepared for. His vision tunneled, balls tightening. He bit down on a knuckle to stop himself from crying out.
He ground his ass back, practically sitting on Wyatt’s face, the orgasm racing toward him with the speed of a bullet train.
“I’m gonna come,” Roman said, grabbing his cock just as it exploded, Wyatt continuing to tongue his ass. He moaned into Roman, his own orgasm crashing through, ropes of come from the both of them mixing together on the floor.
Chuckles escaped them as Wyatt got back up onto his feet, helped by a spent Roman, their dicks beginning to soften, wet and still-dripping tips rubbing together.
“Gah damn,” Roman said, kissing Wyatt, tasting the sex still on his lips. “I think I almost passed out.”
“That good, huh?”
“Very,” Roman said, wrapping his arms around Wyatt, his heart feeling just as warm and sparkly as the rest of him. It was an effervescent kind of sensation, like he was seconds away from floating up and joining the rest of the clouds they were flying through.
“Today was a good day.” Wyatt melted into Roman’s body, resting his head against Roman’s chest. “Not only did I get to join the mile-high club, but we also grabbed the page. Without any Pride interference.”
“You’re right,” Roman said, nodding and gently kissing Wyatt’s forehead. He could stay locked in this embrace for all of eternity, and he would be the happiest fucking man alive. “I’m trying to think of what differentiated this time from the last.”
“Everyone was in that van when we spoke about the bakery, so if there was a traitor…”
He reached around Wyatt and turned the sink on. Just in case. “Not everyone could hear us, though.”
Wyatt cocked his head. “Huh?”
“Mustang and Bang Bang, sitting up front, they had a difficult time hearing. Bang Bang even asked me earlier what it was we were saying back there.”
The shocked disbelief slipped into Wyatt’s tone as he whispered his next questions. ”Do you think it’s Mustang? Bang Bang?”
Roman shook his head, even the suggestion weighing heavy on his heart. “I don’t know what to think right now,” he whispered under the sound of running water. “I can’t imagine a world where either of them would betray us, and that’s what scares me the most. It makes me feel like there’s a blind spot I’m missing. I just don’t know what that is.”
“With how badly Mustang wants revenge, I don’t think she’d be bringing information to the Pride.”
Roman shook his head. “No, I don’t think so either. But maybe there’s something else at play? Maybe by betraying us, she gets closer to Leonidas? Close enough to stab him in the chest.”
“And Bang Bang? What would he be motivated by?”
“I have no idea,” Roman said, his fingers tracing lazy circles around Wyatt’s lower back. “He isn’t motivated by money, so they can’t buy him out. And he’s head over heels for Doc. I can’t think of why he’d do anything to hurt her.”
“I agree, I don’t think it’s him, either.”
“And that leaves us back at square one. No answers, only questions.”
Wyatt picked his head up, resting his chin on Roman’s chest, gazes meeting. “Can I get one of my questions answered?”
“Of course, what is it?”
Wyatt sucked his bottom lip, the puffy pink flesh coming back pale from between his teeth. “What are the pages for? What the hell is all of this for? I know there’s money involved, but how is this Tome of Tomorrow going to be that valuable? It was at the Miami Science Museum, not behind some bulletproof glass at the Louvre.”
Roman expected this line of questioning to arise at some point. He’d kept things slightly vague with the crew, for the exact reason that brought up the previous discussion. His uncle had taught him many things, but one of the most vital lessons dealt with trust. He’d always told Roman it was important to trust rarely but powerfully, and to trust in levels. Know that there were layers to a relationship, and not everyone had to know everything all at once. Information could, and should, only be shared on a need-to-know basis.
Roman knew that. He couldn’t lead a successful heist without trusting his crew, but he also didn’t have to lay out all the cards, either.
Except for Wyatt. It was time he saw the hand Roman was playing with.
“The Tome of Tomorrow is a key,” Roman started. The plane flew through another bout of light turbulence, rocking them around in the cramped space. “Remy was a savant, and he funneled a lot of his intelligence into making money, aside from making some accurate predictions about the future. He did that through cryptocurrencies, amassing a fortune that rivaled the GDP of a few small countries. When he found out he was dying, he knew he wanted to leave behind a way for someone worthy enough to put the pieces together and collect the money for themselves.”
