“Then I’d appreciate it if you talked to me without the attitude.”

I looked up and found him watching me with an annoyed, but confused, look on his face. The last thing I wanted was to make him angry, so I took a deep breath and let it out.

“Mellie mentioned something called funishment…”

I let my comment hang in the air between us while Tobin’s brow furrowed, then smoothed when he finally figured out where I was going.

“You want to play, little fairy?” he asked with a smirk that made me shiver. “Why didn’t you just say so?”

He lifted my chin when I tried to look down, making me meet his eyes while we had this embarrassing discussion.

“I… I’ve never done this before.” I stumbled over my words but still forced them out. “I’ve read plenty of books, but I never even considered doing this in real life. I really judged Mellie when I found out about her and Dixon’s relationship.”

“You read books with spanking in them?” he asked.

“Yeah. That’s what we read for book club. Though some of them have way more than just spanking.”

“Really?” His gaze lost focus and he appeared lost in thought. “I never would have pegged Kenny or Raquel as the type.”

I bristled at his insinuation. “Hey, there’s no ‘type’ that likes kinky romance. Anyone can read anything they want.”

“Settle down, little fairy. I wasn’t judging them for it. It just surprised me.” He grasped my hand and stood, pulling me with him. “Now, you, however, were judging your friend for the type of relationship she has. Is that what I heard you say?”

His stern tone and the way he led me down the hallway to his bedroom had my pussy clenching.

“Yes,” I replied.

We stopped next to the bed, and I took the silence as an opportunity to look around the room. It held a huge, king-size bed on a heavy wooden bedframe. Matching side tables flanked it, and two tall dressers filled the opposite wall. Framed and matted photos of the farm hung on the walls. But that was about it, other than the closet and master bathroom doors.

“And what do you think about Mellie and Dixon’s relationship now?”

His question had me looking at him. Even though I was pretty sure his anger was fake, this question was very real.

“I think that as long as they are happy and she consents, what happens between them is their business.”

He nodded. “That’s good. But you still need to be punished for judging your friend’s choices.”

My whole body shivered at his words.

“Okay,” I whispered when it seemed like he was waiting for me to respond.

“Pull down your pants and panties and bend over the side of the bed.” He turned and opened the closet door, flicking on a light as he entered the walk-in.

I took a deep breath and moved to follow his instructions. The maroon and green plaid comforter held Tobin’s scent, and I let my upper body sink into its softness. My heart raced as I heard him move around the room, but I kept my eyes closed until I heard him call my name.

“Charlie.”

His use of my preferred name made my eyes shoot open, and I found him standing at the end of the bed, watching me.

“If you want to stop, just say so,” he said gently. “This is for fun.”

I nodded, grinning like a fool. Even though I’d asked him not to call me Charlotte all the time, he’d continued to use my full name, and it irritated me more than I’d let on.

“Okay,” I replied. “I’ll let you know if I’m not having fun anymore.”

He nodded and then rounded the bed until he was behind me.

“So, little fairy, you’ve admitted you were being judgmental, and I bet you were also rude to your friend. Am I correct?”

He’d slipped right into the role of stern Dominant, enunciating every word and demanding a response.

“Yes. I was rude, too.” Not blatantly, but I didn’t hide my thoughts on Mellie and Dixon’s relationship.

“That kind of behavior won’t be tolerated around here. Neither will hiding the possibility of getting peed on by goats from your boyfriend.”

It sounded so ridiculous that I couldn’t help but giggle, though my laughter was cut off with a firm smack on my bottom.

Tobin quickly soothed the slight sting by running his hand over my skin where his palm had landed, then going a bit lower.

“Did you think it was funny when that goat peed on me?”

Another smack to the other side, followed by the rub. When I didn’t answer, he did it again.

“Tell me the truth, Charlie.”

“Yes,” I said, then moaned when his hand dipped in between my legs after the next spank.

“I thought so.” He repeated the circuit a few more times, lightly skating his fingers over my pussy after each smack, until I was squirming and struggling to stand still.

“Tobin,” I whined, not knowing what I wanted to happen next, but knowing I needed more.

“I think you need a bit more punishment for your naughty behavior.” He gave me a firm smack on each cheek, much harder than before. “Stand still and stay there.”

I did as instructed, using the reprieve to try to calm my racing heart and get my thoughts under control, not that it did much good. His words had me panting in anticipation and my mind ran wild, wondering what he’d do next.

“Climb up on the bed, Charlie, and lie with your head on the pillows.”

I kicked off my clothes and followed his directions. After I got into position, I turned my head to find Tobin standing there with a brown leather belt in his hand.

My eyes widened in apprehension, but before I could say anything, he was next to me, reassuring me.

“This is really soft leather, and I won’t be too hard. If you don’t like it, just say stop.”

I reached out to touch the belt and considered what he’d said. The idea of being spanked with a belt was hot, but would the reality be the same? There was no way to know unless I tried it.

“Okay, but go easy.”

The look he gave me let me know he knew I was placing my trust in him and didn’t take that lightly.

“I will, Charlie.”
