The crowd gave out a thunderous applause.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

I knew that I was close to death.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

And then, there was silence.

All I could hear was my heart beats. No longer could I hear the crowd’s roar or the knives crashing into the wood.

Am I still alive?

Panting, I opened my eyes.

Cain stood in front of me. Barely a few inches of space ran between us.

I looked down at my body and discovered I was framed by blades embedded in the wood and super close to my body.

I let out a sigh of relief.

“I told you.” Cain leaned in and kissed me.

My pussy grew wet.

“Fuck her! Fuck her!” the crowd chanted. “Fuck her!”

Cain leaned his head to the side. “Should we give them a show?”

My body heated. “Please.”

Cain yanked out the dagger under my pussy. Next, he cut at my corset, slicing through whale bone and satin. Beads dropped from his blade. The material fell away, exposing my breasts.

“You’re so fucking sexy.” With one hand, Cain danced his fingers across my stomach and around my breast. My nipple hardened under the sensual rubbing.

With the other hand, he sliced away my red sequin thong next.

His dick bulged in his pants.

He lowered and cut the straps off my ankles. I dangled against the wooden circular board. Daggers still framed my body, so I had to be careful not to unintentionally cut myself on their sharp blades.

Cain tossed the last dagger. It clattered against the floor. Unzipping his pants, he growled. “Are you ready to moan for the crowd.”

“Free my wrists.”

“Why would I do that?” He closed the distance and wrapped my legs around his waist.

“I want to touch you.”

Giving me a devilish grin, he pulled out his hard dick. “And I want to touch you too.”

He plunged deep into me.

I cried out in shock and desire.

And the crowd roared. “Fuck her! Fuck her!”

Our bodies moved in a slow grind that had me biting my lip to keep from screaming in pleasure. I spotted a few men in the crowd rubbing their dicks up and down. That pushed me more into horniness.

I leaned my head back. “More.”

“Fuck yeah.” His thrust became deeper and harder, hitting me in all the right places.

“Oh my God,” I moaned.

Cain leaned forward and put his hands on the wood board next to mine. Groaning low, he slammed into me. His pace quickened.

I moved my hips to meet each thrust. A fire spread through my body. Flames of pleasure that licked at my skin.

My heartbeat quickened as the climax grew closer.

“I’m going to cum,” I moaned.

“I know.”

“Oh!”

He slammed into me, over and over. Waves of ecstasy crashed over me. Intense sensations spread across my skin.

“Fuck!” he growled. “I’m coming too.”

I watched him close his eyes and let his head fall back. I gripped his hips tighter with my legs. His dick slid out of me. Then he went back in. He buried his dick deep, making sure to hit my sweet spot.

“Oh!” My heart pounded, and my mind went blank as another orgasm took hold.

He closed his eyes and moaned. His dick pulsed and twitched.

His face flushed.

He growled, “Here it comes!”

Then I woke up to an empty bed.

Panting, I looked around. Sunlight spilled into the window, telling me that it was the next morning.

I checked my wrists and ankles.

No handcuffs or rope.

“Cain?” Stretching, I slowly sat up. The bathroom door was open, but it didn’t look like anyone was in there.

his morning, a thousand birds sang outside the window, each voice distinct and a symphony of love. The wind blew through the trees. The leaves rustled. And it all added to the melody.

I watched Phoenix sleep. She lay there flawless. Her lids fluttered. Soft moans left her parted lips, and I wished I could wander through her dreams.

I would have authored a poem about her if I had the talent. Penned a song if I could carry a note. Painted the image if I had the canvas and the ability to truly do her face justice.

In my life, I’d read an exorbitant amount of books. I’d studied other cultures, histories, and tons and tons of theories and philosophies on some of the most unimaginable topics.

Yet, never had I truly studied love.

How ironic when love was the only reason worth living. At least I’d learned that from poets and books, movies and songs talking about the power of love—the one thing that truly made the soul come alive.

Phoenix jumped.

At the very thought of last night, warmth spread through my body.

Phoenix and I had made a lot of progress. I needed to keep the momentum going.

I won’t fuck this up.

I dragged myself from bed, quietly washed, dressed, and headed downstairs to make her a romantic breakfast.

It’s a new day.

I walked down the hallway of gods with confidence in my steps, yet doubt crept in my head. Was Phoenix acting last night so that she could seize an opportunity for escape? Or could our love be the bright light I yearned for even though we began from blood and pain?
