“Okay. If that is what you want.”

He smiles against my mouth. “I need to feed you.” I let out a moan as he lifts me off of him, his cock slipping free as he sits me down on the bed. He rolls over, grabbing the phone next to the bed and placing an order for room service. Like every other time he orders, he overdoes it. How much does the man think I can eat?

“Here.” He hands me a robe. “I love you naked, but I’ll end up back inside of you if you don’t cover up.” I slip on the robe, loving the way it feels against my skin.

“Promises, promises.”

He narrows his eyes on me as he pulls up his jeans not bothering to button them. “I also don’t want to be talking about my mother with my cock still inside of you and with you naked.” That kills the mood. “What?” He puts a finger under my chin, lifting my head to meet his eyes.

“She tried to pay me off to leave you. That woman really hates me. She also said something about you being with someone else, but it’s kind of fuzzy.” I can still see her face so clearly. How can she be so mean on the inside but beautiful on the outside? You’d never know she’s in her fifties by looking at her.

“Do you believe that?” he asks me.

“No.” How could I at this point? He’s spent months trying to find me. His obsession is clear.

“Good.” He smiles. His hand goes to the back of my head as he guides me in for a kiss. “I am already looking for a place. We could stay here and build, but that would take over a year. With Faith and the baby, I don’t think this hotel room is going to cut it. I enjoy fucking my wife and the sounds she makes as I do it.”

“You’re terrible.” I playfully smack his chest. He grabs my wrist, kissing my palm. “Thank you. It’s sweet that you’re thinking that Faith might be ours one day.” I start running my fingers through my hair trying to get it under control.

“She’s an easy little girl to love. She’s brilliant too. That girl is going to be something one day.” Gah. Can he be any more perfect?

“She really is.” I point to the nightstand next to him. “Can you give me my hair tie?” He grabs it but doesn't hand it over.

“Turn around.” I let out a small laugh but do as he said.

“What are you going to do?”

“Braid it,” he answers, his fingers already in my hair. “I’ve seen you do it many times. I think I can manage. Plus if we’re going to have a little girl soon it might be a skillset I need.”

“You’re killing me here.” I try not to burst into tears.

“All done,” he says. “Why am I killing you?”

I turn to face him. His face softens. He wipes away the few tears that escaped.

“Pregnancy hormones.” I blame it on our innocent baby.

“Stop giving your mommy a hard time,” Dane says in a stern voice, his hand on my stomach. I burst into laughter. He takes my hand, leading me out of the bedroom. He hands me a phone. “Keep it on you at all times. I already put a few numbers in there for you.”

“Thank you,” I chirp.

“No fight?” He lifts a brow at me.

“Nope. I recall you saying you give orders and I take them without question because it puts you at ease.” After all he has done for me, I can see why I’d so easily agreed to that before. At first I thought it was a bit nutty. Now I get it.

“Thank you.” He leans down to kiss me, but a knock sounds at the door.

He pulls the door open to reveal his brother Ryan standing there. I pull my robe tighter, making sure it’s closed as he enters.

He’s so different from Dane. They both are tall, but Ryan is thin where Dane is bulky. Ryan seems laid back, while I don’t think Dane has ever been that relaxed a day in his life.

“How is it going?” he asks.

“It’s going,” Dane says. I give his brother a smile.

“How long are you two thinking about hanging around here?” He drops down into one of the chairs.

“We’re not leaving.” I find myself answering the question.

“Not leaving?” he repeats, looking to Dane for confirmation. It’s a bit irritating that he doesn’t take my word for it.

“She wants to stay so we’re staying.” Dane shrugs.

“Damn. I never thought I’d see the day. You’re different with her. Not obsessing over work.” Ryan glances at me. “He’s normally moody and barking orders.”

“He still gives orders,” I respond. The doorbell rings again. This time it is the food cart. Both Dane and Ryan start putting everything onto the table. Dane pulls out a chair for me, and I sit down. His phone starts to go off. He pulls it out, answering it.
