I pull off my pants and reach into the drawer beside the bed to get out a condom. Ripping open the wrapper, I pull the latex over my thick shaft. For just a second, I think about taking her bare, and precum comes out. I position myself between her legs and hover over her. “Are you okay?”

Her eyes open, and she looks up at me with a faint smile on her face. “I'm good,” she says. She seems sort of out of it, and I gesture down between us.

She lifts her head and looks at us, and her eyes widen as she takes in my hardness. “Do you mind?” I ask, nudging my hips forward so she can feel me at her core.

She lifts her knees up, and I sink a little farther inside of her. Her hands stroke up and down my chest. I'm barely hanging on, but I can't ask her to stop.

She smiles up at me. “Am I going to have to beg you?”

I lean down and press my lips to hers as I push fully inside of her. She groans, and her eyes fly open. I pull my mouth off of hers and look at her as I move in and out. Her tight pussy holds on to me like a vise, not wanting me to move, but there's no way I can stop now. In and out, in and out, each stroke more tempting than the last. Finally, I can't hold back any longer. She lifts her legs and wraps them around my waist, and I'm done for. I sink as far as I can go inside of her and shoot off like a rocket, thrusting in and out of her. As I look into her eyes and see the satisfaction on her face, I know that from this point forward, everything is going to be different—everything is going to be better... even me.

Chapter 10

Ella

As soon as I wake up, I start to stretch, and the pain in my muscles that I haven't used in a while shoots through me. Memories from last night start to roll around in my head, and I jerk up out of the bed.

I'm not in the spare guest room.

I'm in Logan's room.

More than that, I'm in Logan's bed, and I'm still naked.

I sit up quietly and wait to see if I can hear him in the house, but I can't hear anything. It's as silent as a library. I get up and throw on my underwear and T-shirt from last night before gathering the rest of my clothes and making my way through the house.

As soon as I get to the kitchen, I see the note on the countertop, and my stomach drops. I read it, and it says, I called Tommy to take me to therapy. I didn't want you to have to wake up early. Get some rest. I'll see you when I get back—Logan.

I read the note over and over, looking for any hidden meanings, but I refuse to let my mind make up things. Nervously, I stroll into the spare bedroom, take a quick shower, and get dressed. I run a brush through my hair and am about to sit down at the kitchen table to get some work in when the front door opens.

"Hello... Logan?" a woman's voice sounds from the front.

I stand up and walk into the living room and stop suddenly when I see Harper standing there with a key in her hand. She must have kept hers.

She looks at me snidely. "Where's Logan?"

After everything that happened between Logan and me last night, I should probably feel guilty, but I don't. She's the one that did him wrong. "He's at therapy."

She points at me and then waves her hand around the house. "And what are you doing here?"

I shrug my shoulders. "He needed somebody to stay with him for the week, and I volunteered."

She nods her head. "Of course, you did."

Without being asked, she comes farther into the room and sits on the couch, leaning back and crossing her legs in front of her. "Well, I'm going to hang out here and wait for him. Logan and I have a lot to catch up on. Did he tell you that we saw each other last night at the bar?"

I rear back in surprise. Logan didn't mention anything about seeing Harper last night, and just knowing that makes my mind go a thousand miles a minute. Could that have been why he reacted to me the way he did? Was I a substitute for Harper? I put one hand to my belly, which is suddenly feeling nauseous, but I refuse to let her get to me or at least see that she's getting to me. "No, he didn't mention that."

"Well, we did see each other. We had a good time, too."
