Side Squeeze (Jasper Falls 6) - Page 49

Harrison Montgomery didn’t kiss her. He devoured her.

The mattress hit the back of her thighs and she gasped. The more her mouth opened, the more he took.

He tumbled her to the bed. “Change your mind?”

Heat pooled low in her belly as he held himself over her. She’d imagined a million different scenarios of how this might go, but nothing quite as heated as this.

She toed off her sandals and pulled him down to her, this time prepared for the kiss. A masculine growl hummed from his chest as he stole a taste of her. His fingers tightened in her hair until her scalp tingled and she moaned.

His body melted over her, his weight sinking her deeper into the mattress. She could feel him everywhere. The hard press of his erection at her belly, the heat of his skin burning through his clothes, and the rush of his blood pulsing through his veins as he shoved her skirt to her waist and pulled her legs around him.

She rolled her hips, loving the weight of his body against hers. Liquid heat pooled, and she wanted more. She pushed at his jacket, and he shouldered it off. Her hands fumbled at his belt, trying to find the right angle.

He broke the kiss. “Wait.”

They were both panting. She sensed his paper-thin instinct slowing down, but she didn’t come up here to find a gentleman. She came up here to get the real him.

“It’s okay.” Pulling his hand to her mouth, she pressed a kiss to his palm and lowered it to her breast. “I want you to.”

He sat back on his knees, a glimpse of uncertainty warring with the desire clear on his face. “We just met.”

“So show me the real you. I’m not scared.”

Indecision flashed in his eyes. “What is this? Are you drunk?”

She sat up. “I’m not drunk. You aren’t taking advantage of me. I know what I’m doing.”

His brow creased and he rubbed the back of his neck. “This is…uncommon. Usually girls want to date for a while, get flowers…”

She didn’t need any of that fluff. “I’m not that complicated.” When he still didn’t appear convinced, she took his hand and said, “I just want you.”

He stared at her. “Me?”

“You, Harrison. I thought about this a lot. The panties I’m wearing, I chose them for you. They match your eyes.” His gaze dropped to her jean skirt which had shifted again to cover her mid-thigh, and she laughed at his curiosity.

“Can I see?”

She leaned back on her elbows and nodded. His stare fastened to her legs as his hand curved around her thigh, riding slowly up to the denim frayed hem. He glanced at her in question.

“Go ahead.”

He pushed the skirt up to her hips and cursed. “Fuck.” He smiled at her. “They’re blue.”

“Like your eyes.”

He shook his head in disbelief. “Who are you?”

Hopefully, she was someone he’d never forget. “Tonight, I’m yours.”

He laughed as if he’d just won the lottery but never bought a ticket. When his stare met hers again, all uncertainty faded. He was ready to claim his prize.

They never made promises to each other. It was easier to cut away all the false pretenses some girls required. What they shared was raw and honest, deeper than most first encounters, and better than anything she could have imagined.

He knew how to touch her, and when to be gentle, but he was mostly intense. Movies and television couldn’t prepare her for the weight of his body pressing into hers or the fullness that came when he entered her. She expected a pinch of pain, but had no idea it could also feel so satisfying. His grip at her hips, his breath beating against the curve of her neck, the pull of his teeth on the lobe of her ear, every second was a euphoric orgy of sensations overwhelming her with incomparable pleasure.

Resting her cheek on his heaving chest, she savored all the new ways her muscles ached. He had been perfect. Gentle at all the right moments and somehow intense at the same time.

“Are you okay?”

“I’m great.”

His breathing slowed and she physically felt the ease of his body tightening again. “I have to get up.”

He slid out from under her, leaving her alone on the big bed. The bathroom door shut and water ran as a toilet flushed. She supposed it was normal for a guy to clean up afterward.

Should she do something? Her body was too tired at the moment to think.

He emerged from the bathroom but didn’t return to the bed. Realizing he was getting dressed, she sat up.

“W-what are you doing?”

“We should go back down stairs.”

No one knew they were up there. What was the rush? He set her clothes on the bed and she frowned.

He knelt to tie his shoes, and she worried she’d done something wrong. Maybe it wasn’t as good as she thought.
