“You really mean that?” she asked before taking a step towards my way. Through her hesitation, I could see that she wanted me just as much as I had her. But there was still something holding her back.

Nodding my head, I made my own step towards her. “I will never hurt you like I did before ever again.” I promised her, intending to keep my word. I felt my own face grow warmer at my confession, feeling more lame by the second. But it was because it was her, only she could have this kind of effect on me.

As we continue to step towards each other, we finally stopped once we met. Looking down at her, I could see there was a glimmer of hope in her eyes. I lately cupped her face as I smiled down at her. “You’re making it really hard not to kiss you right now.”

For the first time in a week, she smiled at me. “What’s stopping you?” she asked me curiously, her voice soft that’s her attention lowered to my mouth.

Ever since the last time I got a taste of her, the craving I had for her could not be sedated. Only she could fill the fix I needed. Now that she was within my grasp, there wasn’t anything holding me back. Giving me permission with only her three words, I lowered my head and pressed my lips against hers. Wrapping my free arm around her, I crushed her against my chest as the fear of losing her lingered in the back of my head.

I never wanted to let her go again. I would do whatever she’d ask. Right now, she was the only thing that mattered to me. When I pulled away, my chest swelled at the smile she gave me. Her hand rested against my chest, transferring her warmth to me.

Her smile grew as she looked up at me, “People really have been asking to sit out there?” she asked, referring to her patio. I could see she had her own pride with her design. Nodding my head, I knew she deserved it.

“Finish your things up here and I’ll show you.” I offered, wrapping my hand around hers.

Quickly nodding her head, she pulled away from me for only a second. “Let me go get my bag and lock up,” she told me before disappearing. The light in her eyes was back and she had a skip in her step.

Even as I watched her disappear, I knew it with confidence. I loved this woman.
