Room 452

I know I’m grinning like an idiot again. We spend the next ten minutes cooking some of the most basic spaghetti with jarred sauce and all, but when we sit back down on his bed and take a bite, it is some of the most delicious noodles I’ve ever had.
Sawyer turns on the fireplace and TV, and we sit in silence on his bed eating the pasta. He turns and smiles at me. “Lady and the Tramp me.”
I raise an eyebrow at him. “I’m not going to Lady and the Tramp you.”
“Yes you are.” He says as he dangles a noodle so that it slaps against my face.
“Real mature.” I say, but I laugh at the same time.
I open my mouth and suck the noodle in, and he grabs the other side with his. The noodle snaps apart, and I suck the remaining half up into my mouth. Sawyer laughs. “Fuck.” Then he grabs another noodle and we start over.
I have tears streaming down my face when we get to the tenth noodle still with no success. The laughing doesn’t help because it keeps tearing the noodles apart.
“Focus.” He says sternly as he places the newest noodle in my mouth.
I put on a serious face even though I can feel my smile poking through. He smirks at me before putting the other side in his mouth. “I know you’re excited, but I need you to be gentle this time.”
I narrow my eyes at him, showing him I mean business. He places the noodle in his mouth, and we both as slowly as possible suck it into our mouths so that it doesn’t break apart this time.
His eyes stare back into mine as our mouths finally join together, but unlike the Tramp, Sawyer doesn’t let me pull away. He grabs the back of my head as he presses his mouth up against mine.
He slips his tongue into my mouth, and I let him. His hand runs up against my bare thigh since I haven’t put pants back on yet. I lean forward abou
t to climb up into his lap when he pushes me back.
I open my eyes wide. “Okay. I was not expecting that.”
He gives me a half smile, half scowl. “I only keep one spare condom with me.”
He gets a hopeful look on his face. “Although, I’m sure you were planning on getting some.”
I laugh and roll my eyes. “Stop calling me a slut. And no, I did not pack condoms on my work trip with my team.”
I roll over and lay on my side so my ass hangs out of the sweatshirt. Sawyer groans behind me. “Don’t tempt me Blake or I will end up coming again whether it’s down your throat or on your tits.”
I quickly pull the blanket up my body and scooch up next to him. “Sorry, I can’t hear you. I’m too sleepy.” I say with a yawn.
“Mhmm.” He says as he lays down next to me. I make it about halfway through the movie playing on the TV while cuddled up next to Sawyer before I drift off to sleep.
Chapter 9
I wake with a start as I try to figure out where I am. I slowly open my eyes and look around the room. Sawyer’s room.
Everything comes flooding back from last night. I turn to my side, but he’s not in bed with me. I place my hand where he was last night, but it feels cold.
I glance at the clock on the nightstand and see it’s almost eight. I never grabbed my phone last night, so I didn’t set an alarm for this morning. My flight doesn’t leave until two anyway, so I didn’t think it was necessary.
I sit up and place my feet on the floor, and that’s when I notice that all of Sawyer’s stuff is gone from his room. Well, except the shirt I’m still wearing. Strange, did he start packing everything already?
The cabin is eerily quiet as I tip-toe out to the living room. That’s when the realization kicks in. Sawyer is gone. He’s not here. He left.
My emotions run through hurt, followed by anger at Sawyer, followed by anger at myself, back to hurt, and then to embarrassment. Why the fuck did I ever sleep with him? I am such an idiot. I played right into his game, and he did win. Even though he said it’d be a win for both of us, no matter how many orgasms the man gave me, it was always him who wins in the end as I’m left here standing alone like a fucking idiot.
I feel tears prick my eyes, but that is followed quickly by nausea. I stomp over to the kitchen to get some juice. He can only win if I let him win. This doesn’t affect me at all. I can pretend like it never happened.
The pep talk starts to work until I see the note on the counter.
If the cleaning fee wasn’t included, send me the bill. Don’t clean it by yourself.
