Bitter - Page 29

He makes this hot as fuck groan in the back of his throat, and my eyes open wide in surprise. “Are you touching yourself?” I call out.

“I want to see you,” he grumbles.

I can’t help the smirk on my face. “You should have thought about that before you grounded me to my room for the night.”

“Wren, please,” he groans.

The sound of his voice shoots pleasure straight down between my legs. I push the dildo inside of me while the other part vibrates over my clit. I throw my head back and moan loud enough that he can hear me through the door.

“Wren,” he tries again.

“You told me not to come out of the room. Didn’t say anything about cuming in it,” I try joking, but it turns into another moan.

Reed’s phone starts ringing again. “Fuck! Stop calling me!” he shouts. I’m assuming it’s his mom again.

He groans against the door. “This is the universe punishing me for doing this with you.”

“I doubt the universe cares who you masterbate to.” I pause as I gasp for air when the toy touches me in just the right spot. “Besides, is this really the first time you’ve done this to me? It’s definitely not mine.”

“Ugh! You can’t say shit like that!” he yells through the door.

Even if I wasn’t still tipsy I don’t think I could think straight with how close I am to falling over the edge. “Reed,” I pant.

He growls on the other side. “Don’t you fucking dare say my name while you cum!”

My blood rushes through my veins at twice the speed. “Reed!” I moan louder.

“Fuck!” His voice strains, making it sound like he’s barely hanging on.

I clench my pussy around the toy as I push it in and out. Every time it pushes through, a build up of pleasure pools, starting from my belly. The vibrating part on my clit is making my whole body buzz. My muscles begin to tighten. I squeeze my shoulders together, and it pushes out my chest, making my nipples tingle in anticipation.

“Reed...” The last one comes out as a gasp as I fall completely over the edge. I don’t hold back with my screams, so Reed knows exactly what’s happening on the other side of the door.

“Oh, c’mon, Wren!” he groans. Moments later he’s gasping and grunting in a way that there’s no doubt about what’s happening outside that door.

“Fuck, what’s wrong with me?” he says quietly against the door once he’s finished.

I grab a long t-shirt and throw it on, and then I tiptoe over to the door and peek it open. I give him a cocky smile, and he narrows his eyes at me as he leans his hand against the wall. His face is flushed, and his breathing is still heavy.

His angry face finally cracks a satisfied smirk. He opens his mouth to say something when his phone rings again. “Oh, for Christ’s sake!” he yells as he grabs his phone out of his pocket.

“Yeah?” he answers, sounding annoyed.

I lean against the doorframe while he listens to his mom talk on the other end of the phone. His face is serious, but his eyes slowly travel down my body. His lips twitch as he tries to hide his smile when his eyes reach mine again.

“Let me check.” he says.

He nods toward me. “You working tomorrow?”

I raise an eyebrow at him. “No?” I say more as a question.

“She can do it,” he says into the phone.

I open my eyes wider. “Do what?” I mouth to him, trying to figure out what he just agreed to.

He ignores me. “Yeah. Send over the details right now.” He pauses while he listens to her talk again. “Okay. Yeah, thanks. Bye.”

He hangs up the phone, and my mouth is hanging open in shock. “Did you just say thanks for something to your mom?” I ask sarcastically.

He rolls his eyes. “She’s doing this for Jake. Not me,” he says, sounding annoyed.

My smile drops to a frown, and he quickly tries to change the mood. “Your first job is tomorrow.”

I open my eyes wide in surprise. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Her friend Millie is throwing a small get together. They were going to order in from a restaurant, but she told them you could do it.”

I open my eyes wider. “A party? Tomorrow? I can’t plan something for tomorrow!” I try to protest because I’m really just nervous I’ll mess it all up.

He steps closer. “It’s nothing too official. It will be practice to see if it’s something you like to do. She’s sending over menu options now, so you don’t even have to plan anything. Just pick one of the options you think you’ll do best and we’ll go shopping tomorrow. She’s sending a deposit right now to cover the cost of buying the food.”

I continue to protest since I’m freaking out a little. “I don’t even know how much to buy. How many people are going to be there? I’ve never even cooked for a lot of people before. What if it doesn’t turn out as good? I can’t do this. I can’t-.”

He cuts me off by grabbing my arms and shaking me a little. “Relax,” he says sternly.

I pause, and he continues. “Take a deep breath.”

I suck in a deep breath and start to calm down as I look back into his eyes. He smiles. “Don’t worry. We’ll figure it all out together. I’ll be there the whole time.”

I step back and look at him. “You’ll be there? At a party that your mom is at?”
