After what feels like hours, we slowly pull away. He kisses my lips a few times before searching my eyes. “Wow,” he breathes out.

I nod and smile. “I’ll say.”

We decide to call it a night, and he walks me to my car. “I’ll call you tomorrow and we can make plans.”

“Okay, sounds good,” I say not really wanting this night to end.

He leans down and presses his soft lips to mine, but only briefly before pulling back. “Goodnight, Regan.”

“Goodnight, Henry.”

When I walk into the house, I still feel like I’m floating. It was the best date I’ve been on, well shit, probably ever. I really like him, and I need to thank Jennifer for the set-up.

“Well you aren’t crying, gagging, or throwing shit. How was it?” Tenn asks, startling me.

A huge smile spreads across my face, and I sigh. “It was amazing.”

The grin he was wearing slips away, and he crosses his arms. “Oh yeah?”

“Yep. Honestly, Tenn, I can’t remember having a date so romantic before,” I say, still unable to lose the smile on my face.

“What’s romantic about dinner at a restaurant you’ve been to a million times?”

I giggle, yep I fucking giggled, and smack his chest. “It wasn’t the restaurant, it was after on the beach. The moon shining down, his sweet words and soft lips,” I say, lightly touching mine.

He stands up straighter and rubs the back of his neck. “His lips? You kissed him?”

“Yes, I did,” I sing out.

I try to walk past him to get into the kitchen, and he cages me in. Both his hands are leaning on the wall trapping me in place. His hot breath is blowing against my face, and our eyes locks. His normally playful greens are serious, almost hurt.

“Did he trap you in place like this?” he breaths out. I shake my head and swallow when he moves his face a bit closer. “Did he tell you how you steal his breath away, make his heart beat out of his chest or make his cock so hard it’s difficult to walk?”

“No,” I mutter, unsure of what he is doing.

He moves so close that his lips are a whisper away. “Did he pull you against him and slam his lips on yours, making you gasp for air?” I shake my head or I think I do. He pushes his leg between my legs, brushing against my now aching pussy. “Did he make your panties wet?”

“I don’t think so,” I manage.

He moves that whisper closer and kiss

es my cheek before backing away. “Then he isn’t worth it,” he says, stalking off to his bedroom.

I, on the other hand, slide down the wall and sit on the floor. “What the fuck just happened?”

The next day I wake up smiling when I think of Henry, but it vanishes when I think of what Tenn did to me last night. I sit up in bed and look out my window, taking in the blue sky and bright sun. I need to talk to Tenn because I can’t figure out if he was jealous or if he was just proving a point. Thing is, what is there to be jealous of? I’ve laid here plenty of nights listening to him fuck his conquests, why would a kiss bother him?

Annoyed, I throw the covers off and go into the living room. Tenn is sitting on the couch, shirtless of course, watching TV. I stand in front of it with my hands on my hips, causing my night shirt to ride up a bit.

“Hey, what the hell, Regan?” He shifts around awkwardly trying to see the TV around me.

“Funny those are the words you choose. What the hell was that last night? Are you jealous or are you just trying to make a point of some kind?” I ask with my brows dipped.

He stands up and moves in front of me. “It doesn’t matter,” he says and kisses my head, going to the kitchen.

“No way. Not good enough. Tell me, Tenn,” I insist.
