He leans forward, kissing my forehead. “Me too.”

Dinner was a success. The parents loved it, complimenting me the entire time. Tenn and the dads cleaned up, which was really nice. Now we are enjoying the cake my mom baked.
“Remember that time I saw you two going at it in the yard? I let Regan stay over that night,” Brenda says, laughing.
“We just did that last night,” my dad says, wiggling his graying eyebrows at my mom.
I look at Tenn with wide eyes and he laughs, taking a bite of cake.
“Remember that time you were giving me a blow job in the kitchen. You were on your knees by the sink…”
“Oh my God, please, Dad, I’m begging you not to finish that story,” I interrupt.
“Stop acting like a prude. I’m sure you’ve been on your knees for boyfriend of yours, you refuse to talk about” my mom says, throwing everyone into fit of laughter. Everyone but Tenn and me.
“Actually, we broke up,” I say on a shrug.
They all exchange some weird ass look. “I’m sorry, baby. I told you if you weren’t having sex something was wrong,” my mom says.
“She’s right. You need to have sex with your partner because if you don’t work in bed, you aren’t going to work in life,” my dad says.
“So true. I banged Brenda on our first date, and we haven’t stopped,” Fred says.
“Great, thanks.” I gather the empty plates and take them to the kitchen.
I just can’t do it tonight. I?
?m not in the mood to hear their sex stories. I’m never in the mood to hear them, but tonight for some reason I can’t do it. None of them had to search for love like I am, it just happened for them.
“Come on. They will be gone soon,” Tenn says, putting his strong hands on my waist and pulling me up from loading the dishwasher. He turns me to look at him, pulling me closer. “You don’t think it’s kinda cool that they are all so much into each other after all these years?”
“I think it’s fucking amazing. I just don’t want to hear about their sex lives,” I say, crossing my arms.
He searches my face for a second before tilting his head slightly. “Or do you not want to hear about things you don’t know about?”
“What the hell are you talking about? That’s not it at all,” I hiss.
“That’s exactly it. When they talk about it, it reminds you that you don’t know how to do it,” he says.
I push out of his grasp and close the dishwasher, then turn on him with my hands on my hips. “You’re wrong, and I’m done with this conversation,” I say, walking past him.
Thankfully the parents decide it’s time to go when I get to the living room. We say our goodbyes, and I smile knowing I survived this night. Not only did I survive it, it went good.
After Tenn and I get the dishes in the dishwasher, he links his fingers through mine and nods his head. “Come on.”
I walk out of the kitchen behind him. “Where are we going?”
He turns his head and smiles. “Lesson one.”
Lesson one? Realization hits me hard, and I stop walking. Oh fuck.
He walks into his room, but I stay rooted in place. It all sounded good in my head when I talked to him about it, but now it’s too real. I’m not sure this is a good idea. No scratch that, this is a horrible idea.
“Regan, get your ass in here,” he yells.
Blowing out a breath, I walk into the bedroom. “Tenn, I don’t think this is necessary. I know it was my idea, but come on, we both know it’s not a good one. Shit, I never have good ideas, why would this be any different?”
