“That’s more like it. All right, now London wanted a few with the bed in the background, so we’ll do a few on the side of the bed and then at the foot of the bed.”
We stand up, but Kallie decides to have Ivy go change into some lingerie. Ivy takes her bag into the bathroom, and Kallie goes to help her pick out what to put on next. I make my way over to London, and she turns her head up at me when I stand in front of her.
“Hey. Everything all right?” She gives me a little nod, and I wrap my hands in her hair, pulling it back lightly, just like I did with Ivy, but making sure our eyes are focused on each other. “Does this make you uncomfortable? Seeing me in bed with another woman? Because I just told you in the kitchen that you are mine. This”—I motion around the room—“is all fake. There is no emotion, it’s like playing pretend.” She stares at me and I’m starting to lose my patience. “I need you to talk to me here, London. I’m not a goddamn mind reader.”
She takes a deep breath and bites the inside of her cheek. “I’m not uncomfortable or jealous, shit. I want to be in that bed with you. Happy?”
Oh fuck, yes, I am. I pull her body closer to mine, my hands still tangled in her hair. “That can be arranged, sexy. Just say the word and I will make you feel things you never thought possible. I’ll have you come over and over, screaming my name. All you need to do is give me the go.” The lust I see in her eyes makes me wish this shoot were over, so I could make good on everything I just said.
“Tonight,” she whispers.
I slam my mouth to hers, kissing her with a promise of what I will do to her later. I hear a throat clear, and London pulls away from me. I let go of her hair and try to adjust my now painful hard-on.
“Sorry, guys, but I need it professional in here.”
I don’t give a shit, but London looks like she wants to curl in a ball and hide.
“I’m so sorry, Kallie. It will never happen again,” London says and I put my arm around her just as Ivy comes out and smiles at Kallie.
“Oh, it will happen again. It will happen again, and again, and again, just not in here.” I kiss London’s temple and go over to Ivy to finish the shoot. I need to get my girl home and worship every inch of her body.
Chapter Nine
London
We’ve been at Blake’s for a few hours now, and I still can’t get what happened at Kallie’s out of my head. First, he tells me I’m his and he’s mine, which made my heart nearly burst out of my chest. Then, when I was completely turned on from watching him in bed with Ivy, he goes and tells me all I need to do is say so and it can be me. I could have had an orgasm right then and there, but when I said tonight and he slammed his mouth to mine, I could feel myself getting wet. Even though I was humiliated when Kallie told us to keep it professional, it was the most unbelievable afternoon.
Now, I’m sitting next to Blake at the fire, trying to keep my attention on the conversation, but all I want to do is have Blake take me to bed.
“So anyway, I told Braden it’s probably best he just comes home. He finally agreed and said he’d be home soon,” Kallie says.
Everyone is talking about Braden, and I have no idea who the hell he is. I lean over and whisper in Blake’s ear, asking him who that is. He smiles at me and kisses my cheek.
“Braden is Kallie’s brother. Awesome fucking guy, but he left to try to make things work with his wife. It’s not working.”
Damn, I didn’t even know Kallie had a brother. I guess there’s just a lot we all don’t know about each other. “Oh, that’s awful. Were they married long?” He lifts his shoulders as if he has n
o idea, and I get the feeling there is a story there.
“London, I feel bad. We’re always talking about ourselves. We know you work at a restaurant, are an author, and went to school in Florida, but there has to be more.” I smile at Kallie, but there isn’t much more. I’ve been doing my own thing for so long that there isn’t much to my story.
“There isn’t much to tell. I’m an only child. I grew up in South Carolina, went to school in Florida, and then came out here.”
Blake throws his cigarette into the fire and puts his arm around me. “Getting information out of this one is like getting classified information from the military. She doesn’t tell you much.”
Ouch, I don’t want to come across as a cold bitch, I’m just scared. It’s been so long since I trusted anyone. It has to be baby steps.
“Come on, London, give us something.”
Give them something? “Like what?” Everyone is pretty drunk at this point, well, everyone but me and Blake, so I’m sure they won’t let it go so easily.
“Like, what do your parents do for a living? What’s your favorite color? When was your last relationship?” Kallie rushes out.
Blake looks at me with a grin, knowing when it comes to relationships I won’t say anything. I just smile at him and turn to Kallie.
“My dad is a lawyer and my mom works for him. My favorite color is purple, and my last relationship is not worth talking about.”
Blake chuckles and I pinch his leg, making him jump.
