SAGE
His hands were all over as he kept me pressed against the wall. His fingers drifted up my stomach and then under my shirt, causing my heart to thrash. I still had the key in my bra. I might trust him with certain things, but my only way out of here was not one of them. If his hands went up any farther, he was going to find it.
“Condom,” I muttered, pulling away from him. “Do you have one?”
He froze, lifting his head from my neck. “Yes.”
“Go get it.”
He chuckled. “After all the tiptoeing we’ve done around this, believe me, we won’t need it for a while. I want to enjoy every inch of you first.”
Heat spread everywhere from his words, and I moaned as his mouth went back to my collarbone. My eyes fluttered closed before his hand got way too close to the key. I let my legs drop from his waist, and he grumbled under his breath when I pushed him away.
“Get it,” I repeated. “I’m not chancing anything.”
He blew out a breath. “Fine.”
He stalked down the hall, and I trailed behind him. The second he was in his room, I slid into the bathroom and crouched down. Grabbing the key from my bra, I shoved it to the bottom of the closest tampon box. The last place in this entire house either of them would look. Darting up, I got to the bathroom doorway right as Niko was leaving his room. I glanced at the condom in his hand and grinned. Deciding to distract him from why I was in the bathroom, I lifted the hem of my shirt. I didn’t get a chance to pull it off before he grabbed my wrists.
“Don’t deny me the things I’ve wanted to do for months.” His heated gaze roamed my face. “That includes taking off your clothes. Piece by piece. Exposing your body little by little and tasting every part as I go.”
I bit my lip as my stomach flipped. It had been so long since I’d been touched like that. My body was craving it, and I wasn’t even going to try to deny that it was Niko I wanted touching me.
“The couch. The kitchen counter. Or against the wall.” Releasing my wrists, he stepped back. “Take your pick.”
I raised an eyebrow. “The bed isn’t an option?”
Hesitating, he glanced to the front window, and I realized what he meant. This wasn’t some relationship where we fell madly in love. It was about the tension we’d built up over the last few months. It was a release. Nothing more.
We needed to make sure no one caught us. I was pretty sure Alex wouldn’t want to keep me alive if he found out I wanted his brother instead of him. All the places Niko said gave him a view of the window so we’d know if someone pulled into the driveway.
“The couch it is,” I answered, bending down and grabbing the condom he had dropped. I yelped in surprise when he picked me up bridal style and strode to the living room. Setting me down, he got on his knees between my legs as I sat on the couch.
“Watching you take care of yourself is burned into my brain,” he murmured, lifting the hem of my shirt and pulling it over my head. “I can’t wait to hear you. No need to be quiet this time.”
He didn’t waste a moment as he pulled me to the edge of the couch. His kisses were soft as he moved down my ribs. My heart beat faster when he switched to the other side, making sure his lips touched every part of me. A jolt of pleasure went straight to my pussy as he kissed my lower stomach.
Goosebumps raced over my skin when he unclipped my bra, letting it fall to the floor. My nipples grew hard, and his tongue gave them the attention I wanted as my back arched. I let my head fall back, my eyes closing as I soaked up every wave of pleasure he was giving me.
He tugged at my shorts, and I lifted myself off the couch a little to let him slip them off. My panties came off at the same time.
“Fucking perfect,” he muttered, his gaze darting to every part of my body. “Do you know how much self-control I had to use the last time you were naked in front of me?”
I giggled. “I was honestly a little worried you weren’t going to be able to stay on the couch once I dropped the towel.”
“Believe me, so was I.”
He stayed kneeling between my thighs as his mouth grazed down my leg. He was keeping his word about tasting every inch of me, and my body was on fire. He trailed all the way back up to my neck. His lips reached my jaw, and I tensed.
He noticed my change and froze. Pulling his face away from me, he raised higher on his knees until we locked eyes.
“Don’t kiss me,” I breathed out. “Not on the lips.”
A muscle in his jaw tightened. “Why?”
“I already gave my heart to someone I thought loved me,” I muttered, not meeting his eyes as I talked about his brother. “And he chose your society over me. I won’t do it again.”
Without a word, he moved to stand, but I grabbed his shoulders, keeping him on his knees.
“I want this. I want you to touch me,” I promised him, making him frown in confusion. “But I need to remember that this is only about sex. I can’t let myself think it’s anything more. If you kiss me on the lips, it’ll become too personal. For me, at least.”
