“Geo. Don’t do this,” Niko tried unsuccessfully to speak more calmly. I couldn’t see his face, but his voice was shaking with anger. “I’m asking you as my brother—”

“You’re fucking the girl our other brother is with,” Geo spoke sharply. “You’ve attacked me twice when I’ve touched her. I’m not looking at you like a brother anymore.”

My stomach heaved when hot breath hit my exposed neck. His hold in my hair tightened, keeping me in place. My head was throbbing from hitting it, and him pulling my hair was nearly unbearable. I could hear Niko’s threats as he shifted around.

“What do you say, Sage?” His lips brushed the skin right under my ear. “You give me what you’ve been giving Niko, and I’ll keep this a secret too.”

Niko went silent as Geo continued to press kisses onto my throat. My entire body trembled no matter how hard I tried to stay still. My breaths were short and fast as my eyes stayed on the dimming sky above me.

“Give me an answer, Sage.” Repulsion crawled through my body when his teeth grazed me before biting me hard enough to leave a mark. “I don’t see what the issue is. You’ve fucked Niko. My identical twin. You probably wouldn’t even tell a difference.”

I couldn’t do it. There was no way in hell I could willingly let him touch me. But if I agreed, maybe he’d free me long enough for me to get away. Or not. I wasn’t sure I could take that chance. But what other choice did I have right now?

“Your silence speaks volumes.” He released my hair, and a small amount of relief filled me when the pain in my head eased. “I thought you were using him. But shit, I really think you care about him too.”

Niko’s eyes lost their fury when we locked gazes. He was on his knees, his arms pulled behind him.

“Alex won’t be back until later,” Geo said, glancing at his phone.

“Are you going to leave me out here until he comes back?” Niko spat out. “Or are you going to run to Dad like you do with everything else?”

“Neither.” He dangled Niko’s car keys from his finger. “She already got through Alex once. I’m not taking the chance that she’ll do it again. She’s been nothing but a wedge. I’m fixing it.”

“No,” I screamed as he threw me over his shoulder again. I pounded my taped hands on his back as he carried me toward the truck.

Niko was bellowing at his brother to stop as he tried to yank his wrists free. Geo ripped open the back door and tossed me onto the seat. Reaching around, he snapped the seatbelt in place.

“Don’t fucking move, or I’ll tape your hands behind your back.” After he finished talking, he slammed the door and went around to the driver’s side. I stared at Niko through the window, my heart lurching when I saw him free. He was racing toward the truck, favoring his hurt leg, as Geo backed out of the driveway.

Right as the truck was straightened out in the road, Niko hit the window, trying to pull open the locked door. Geo gunned it, making Niko lose his grip. Twisting my neck, I peered out the back window to see Niko coughing from the dust the truck had kicked up.

“Where are you taking me?” I asked, my words barely coherent as dread took hold of me.

“I’m doing what should have been done when we first found you,” he replied coldly, turning to glance at me. “You miss your sister so much, Sage? It’s time for you to reunite with her.”
