“What if they know she’s here?” Rage asks as we sit around the table, watching the security footage.
“What do they care? It’s one girl. They can get more,” Badger chimes in. He’s right about that. They shouldn’t care about one girl.
“Badger’s right. It wouldn’t make sense for it to be them,” Drake adds.
“Then who the fuck was it? They’re wearin’ plain clothes. No cuts. No bikes.”
“I don’t know. I don’t like this shit,” I say, looking around the table.
“What are you thinkin’?” Demon asks me.
“I don’t fuckin’ know. It doesn’t make sense to come after us for one girl. She’s a nobody to them. Just a number. And how would they know she’s here?” It makes no sense. There’s no way they could have known she was here. No one knows she’s here.
“You’re right. They wouldn’t know she’s here, so there has to be somethin’ else we’re missin’.”
“Cobras?” Griz suggests, looking around the table.
“We haven’t had shit to do with them in a long time,” Cross adds.
“They’ve been quiet. We haven’t had to deal with them, so I wouldn’t think it’s them,” Demon says as he looks at the video once more. “Besides, Cobras would have had their cuts on. They don’t give a shit.”
“None of this makes sense. Do we go on lockdown?” Rage asks.
“I don’t think we need to unless you aren’t comfortable.” Demon responds as he looks at Rage.
“My kid basically lives here,” he reminds them.
“You’re right. We lock down then. The kids need to be safe. We put men stationed around here twenty-four seven. I want this place covered, so take shifts,” Demon informs us. I nod my head. I’ll feel better knowing no one will get close enough to shoot at the clubhouse again.
“I like that idea,” I chime in.
“Good. You’re on first shift.” I nod my head as Badger stands to his feet.
“I got this shift too.” A few more guys volunteer for the first shift while the others get some rest.
“Let’s keep our eyes open,” Demon says before slamming his gavel down. We all stand to our feet, heading out the door and grabbing our phones on the way out. I spot Heidi waiting, pacing the floor, and I head straight for her.
“You okay?”
“Just nerves,” she replies softly. I nod, understanding that.
“We’re lockin’ down the club. That means more people are gonna be comin’ in here and no one’s goin’ out. We’re takin’ shifts on watch. You gonna be okay with that?”
“Yeah. I think so.”
“I’ll still be around, just outside, yeah?”
“Okay.” With that, I lean in and kiss her cheek before heading out for my shift.
I stand by the fence, wondering what the hell is happening. Who shot at us and why. Nothing makes sense, but then again, this is our world. Nothing ever makes sense in our world.
It seems like I’ve been out here forever when I hear someone walking up behind me. I turn quickly, pulling my gun only to see Heidi with a bottle of water in her hand.
“Don’t sneak up on me.”
“Sorry. I brought you a drink.” She holds it out to me, and I gladly take it. I unscrew the cap before taking down most of it, but that isn’t what she’s doing out here. No, I see the look in her eyes. I see exactly what she needs.
“I’m on watch, Heidi.”
“I know that.” I glance around, drop the bottle and back her against the wooden fence. She eyes me before I drop to my knees, pulling her shorts along with me.
“What are you doing?”
“Be quiet,” I tell her. I spread her legs before I bury my face in her pussy. I lick, suck and make her tremble. Her legs shake as I lift one of her legs over my shoulder to have better access. Then I slowly slide a finger inside her tight heat, loving how she clenches around me. It feels so fucking good. I growl as I find her clit with my tongue and slowly circle the bud. Heidi bucks her hips into my face as I keep the pressure building. It doesn’t take long before she comes, trying to hold in her whimpers and cries of pleasure. She coats my finger in her juices before I pull it free and bring it to my mouth.
“Next time, it’s gonna be on my tongue,” I tell her.
“I’ve never had anyone do that,” she murmurs.
“Never?” she shakes her head, and I smirk. “Good. That’s mine,” I tell her as I stand to my feet, pulling her shorts back up as I go. I kiss her once before scanning the area.
“I should go back inside,” she says.
“Yeah. It’s safer in there,” I tell her.
“I like being close to you,” she admits, and it sends my heart soaring. I like being close to her too. I like that she needs me, and there’s something more burning deep inside of me.
“Then stay out here with me,” I tell her. I know I shouldn’t, but I offer anyway. She should be inside where it’s safe, but I like having her around.
“Why did we ever stop bein’ friends?” I ask her. It’s been bothering me for a while now.
“I grew up and went through all the hormonal changes and shit. Mom didn’t really help with that,” she says.
“I remember. Your mom’s a bitch,” I tell her.
“She’s still my mom. There are days that I hate her, but others I can’t think about losing her. Does that make sense?”
“Not really. I always saw the way she treated you. There were times I hated my mom for bein’ friends with her. She didn’t see that side of her, though. Your mom is good at puttin’ on a show,” I tell her. I remember her like yesterday. She was a bitch to Heidi. That’s why Heidi spent most of her time at our house.
“She hid it well. She always did, but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t still love her. She is my mom, after all. Besides, there were some good times when we’d laugh and smile,” Heidi says.
“We were still close, though.”
“You were growing up. I was growing up. I think we just sort of needed that space to grow on our own. I was so reliant on you for everything back then,” Heidi says.
“I didn’t mind. I liked havin’ you around.”
“You did?”
“Yeah. You were my friend, Heidi.”
“And now?”
“Now I think we’re a little more than friends, don’t you?” She shrugs her shoulders before leaning against the fence.
“I didn’t want it to be like this.”
“I didn’t plan on it either, but it happened. Do you want to stop? Be with one of the other guys?”
“No.” That was a firm answer that made me smile.
“Good. I don’t know if I could let one of them touch you,” I admit to her. I’ve been thinking about it lately, and I don’t think I could see her with one of the guys. I don’t think my mind or body would let that happen.
“What do you mean?” I step into her space, closing the distance between us before lifting my hand and cupping her cheek.
“I think you know I’m feelin’ somethin’ for you, Heidi.”
“You are?”
“Yeah, I am. And if you’re not feelin’ it too, that’s fine. We can keep goin’ the way we have been, but I think shit is changin’ for me,” I confess to her. I don’t know why I’m telling her this, but I need to. Heidi needs to hear this, and I need to get it off my chest.
“What’s changing?” she asks softly, and the thought of sliding my cock between her lips hits me hard. I want to take her, break her and make her mine.
“Everything, darlin’. Everything.”
