“Thank you.”

After Kaylee gives Felix and Layla’s mom a quick hug, she takes off, and everyone finds their seats, none of us mentioning the huge elephant that still seems to be in the room, despite Kaylee leaving. Braxton is quiet for the entire dinner, drinking way too many beers, but everyone else is in good spirits. Layla thanks my dad several times for calling Daniel while he brushes it off like it wasn’t a big deal.

“When do you guys leave?” Mom asks while we’re eating dessert.

“Friday morning,” Declan answers. “I’ve got my Mickey Mouse ears ready.”

Mom snickers.

“Where are you going?” Layla asks me.

“We’re going to Disney.”

She frowns. “We? I can’t… Oh, the parade. I forgot about that. I can’t go. I actually need to talk to your parents about working for Blackwood.”

“What? Why?”

“With David’s visitation going down to two hours a week, that leaves me as Felix’s only parent.”

“And? Single parents work…”

“Yes, but I can’t travel. Not without leaving him with my mom, and it’s not fair to her to have to watch him all the time.”

“She would love to watch him any time,” Patricia cuts in, raising a single brow.

“And I was actually thinking we could take Felix with us to Disney,” I add.

“Disney?” Felix screeches, overhearing. Shit, I thought I was talking low. Note to self: kids have bionic hearing. “I want to go!”

“I would be working,” Layla points out.

“And when you’re not, we have passes to all the parks.”

“I can keep him with me,” Bailey offers. “He can watch the parade with me.”

“Perfect,” I say before Layla can argue.

“And in the future,” my mom says, “if Patricia can’t keep Felix, he’s always welcome at our house. Between Easton and Bailey and me…”

“And me,” Phoebe, my younger sister, says.

“You have an entire room of support,” I tell Layla, draping my arm around the back of her chair. “We got this.”

CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

LAYLA

“My God, woman, you’re a walking, breathing temptation.” Camden edges onto the bed, circling his arms around me and pulling me into his front. “I’ve been waiting all damn day to be able to touch you.” His hand skates down my hip and goes between my legs, spreading my thighs.

We’ve been in Orlando for three days, and this is the first time we’ve been alone. The last fifty-plus hours have been a whirlwind of activity. Between the Disney parade on Friday and spending the last two days exploring four parks with a four-year-old who’s never been to Disney—along with four grown-ass men who you’d think were four-year-olds—it’s been nonstop. Friday night, the guys had a couple of radio interviews to do and got back late, then last night, we got back late from the parks because everyone wanted to watch the fireworks. Felix was tired and cranky from overstimulation and ended up falling asleep in my bed with me both nights. Tonight, though, he’s in his own bed, and Camden has apparently snuck into mine.

“Does it bother you that you can’t touch me all day because of Felix?” I ask, my insecurities of being a mom sneaking up on me.

“What? No.” He turns me over to face him. “Your kid is fucking awesome, Layles. A mini you. I feel like I’ve gotten to experience my childhood all over again through him.”

“Through him, huh?” I laugh. “I’m pretty sure you and the guys have experienced it through yourselves.”

He grins, not arguing. “What I’d really like to do right now is experience you.” He waggles his brows and cups my ass cheeks, pulling me close. His mouth seals over mine, and I groan in need. We’ve taken up an entire floor at the Disney resort we’re staying in, each room having multiple bedrooms. Camden insisted Felix and I have our own room, not wanting to rush him seeing anything between us, for which I appreciate. Felix is going through a lot, and I love that Camden is aware and patient. But right now, I really want to experience him as well.

I turn over onto my back, and Camden climbs over me, deepening the kiss. His tongue delves past my parted lips, and his knees separate my legs, giving him access to my center.

“Fuck, you taste good,” he murmurs against my mouth before moving to my ear. “I need to be inside you now.” Our clothes come off, and once we’re both naked, he dips his fingers into me to make sure I’m wet and ready—spoiler alert: I am.

Getting up on his haunches, he spreads my thighs wider, his thumb finding the spot that will bring me pleasure. He massages it with slow strokes while his other hand palms my breast, pinching my nipple.

When I moan in pleasure, he stops what he’s doing. “I need a picture,” he says, grabbing my camera from the nightstand and turning it on me. The camera clicks on, and he takes several pictures of me. “Do you have any idea how sexy you look like this? Your hair splayed out across your pillow, your cheeks flush. Your nipples hard and begging to be touched.” He reaches out with the hand not holding the camera and pinches one. “I’m the luckiest guy in the fucking world.” His words are like liquid heat straight to my core. I’ve never had a guy look at me like Camden does, like I’m everything he could ever want or need.
