“Yes. River just got off the phone with them. All we need to do is get you there.” Rock motioned for River to get in the car.
Todd ran up just before Rock closed Angie’s door. “I love you and can’t wait to meet my new brother and sister. Dustin’s dad said he’d bring me to the hospital as soon as you can have visitors.”
“I love you, too. Have fun with Dustin and I’ll see you soon.” Angie hugged Todd back, and Rock shut her door.
Angie and Rock had gotten married in a small ceremony just before they learned she was pregnant. She considered each of the men her husband, but in the eyes of the law she could only marry one. She chose Rock since he was the oldest.
They got to the hospital, and everything was progressing naturally. Hunter and Sawyer arrived well before the babies came. Angie was happy and tired when Martha and Reggie, along with all the girls, their husbands, and kids arrived.
Rock was sitting with Angie while Hunter and Sawyer went with the babies. River was in the waiting room with everyone.
“I’m going to send Mom and Dad in first. Then everyone else can come in for a few minutes. I’m only going to let a few people in at a time, so we don’t tire you out any more,” River told her before he left to go the waiting room his family had taken over.
“Did you tell them yet?” Angie asked Rock while they waited for Hunter and Sawyer to bring in the babies.
“No, I thought we’d surprise them.” Rock leaned down and placed a kiss on Angie’s forehead.
It wasn’t long before Martha and Reggie came in with Todd in tow. “Hey, Angie, where’s the babies?” Todd bounced into the room.
“Hunter and Sawyer are bringing them. Come sit beside me a minute,” Angie told Todd, and he crawled up on the bed.
A few minutes later Hunter, Sawyer, and a nurse came in each carrying a baby. “This is Martha, Dillon, and Flynn,” Angie said, introducing the babies.
“Triplets! I thought the ultrasound only revealed twins,” Martha said, sitting down and taking Martha from the nurse.
“That little girl you are holding was hiding behind her brothers. I have a feeling she’s going to be doing a lot of that,” Rock said, taking Dillon from Hunter and walking over to Todd. “Would you like to hold him?”
Todd reached his arm out, and Angie moved on the bed so he could sit beside her while Rock placed the baby in his arms.
“Dad?” Sawyer walked over to his father with Flynn.
“Knock, knock.” A voice came from outside the door.
“Maryjean! How are you feeling?” Angie called as Zeke, Chad, and Brock pushed her wheelchair into the room.
“Much better. Most of my memory is coming back. Now if I could just convince these big lugs that I’m capable of walking.” They all laughed and moved around, making room for more people in the room.
