CHAPTER9

“Have you got the ring?” Jesse asked, staring up at his uncle’s house. Tonight was the night they were going to ask Mary to marry them. The last two weeks had been filled with fun and getting to know each other. Now it was time to decide and they had both agreed that she was the woman they wanted.

But would she say yes?

What if she told them no?

A big moon hung in the sky, and in the distance, they could hear the coyotes singing their lonely songs. This was what they both loved about Montana. The raw savage land that could end a life in a heartbeat if not careful.

“Are we going in or are you going to sit out here staring at the house all night?” Andrew asked.

Jesse gave him a twisted smile. “It’s a big day. I want to make certain it’s perfect.”

“Yes, and tomorrow will be even bigger,” Andrew said.

“What if she says no?”

“She’s not going to,” Andrew said confidently. “She knows she belongs to us.”

Their last big date at the pond had shown Andrew that she wanted them as much as they wanted her.

The two men smiled at each other, and with a sigh, Jesse took a step up the stairs. “I’m a little nervous. It’s not every day you ask a woman to marry you.”

If she said yes, the ceremony would be tomorrow, and that evening, they would make their bride their own. That thought alone had Jesse yanking the door open.

They could be having sex this time tomorrow night. His cock sprang to attention, and with determination, he entered the house.

The women were all down in the parlor, and with a gasp, they glanced up at him. “Sorry, ladies, I’m a little anxious. Where is Mary?”

“She’s out in the garden,” Daisy said. “She’s been acting a little strange all day today. Hopefully you men can cheer her up.”

He hoped so, since he intended to ask her to marry them. “Thanks.” The two men glanced at one another then turned to the back of the house.

“You’re welcome,” Daisy called and then he heard all the whispers between the women. But he ignored them and continued through the hallway to the outside door.

When he stepped out, he could see her staring at a piece of paper in her hand. Even in the moonlight, he could see she was anxious. Her body looked stiff and when she realized she wasn’t alone, she gasped.

“Oh, it’s you,” she said.

“Who else were you expecting,” Andrew asked.

Quickly she folded a piece of paper and put it in a pocket. What was she hiding from them? Letters from home? But from whom?

“No one but the two of you,” she said, walking toward them and picking up each of their hands.

“Let’s sit down,” Jesse said and the three of them all sank down in chairs around the garden table.

She picked up the back of each man’s hand and brought it to her lips. That was surprising, but Jesse liked it.

“Oh, darling, you need to stop that or I’m going to melt right here in this chair,” he said with a groan.

Though they had talked about taking a wife for months, he’d not expected this reaction when they found the woman they wanted. His cock was near to bursting.

“Speak for yourself. Do it again, Mary, and rub your tongue along the skin,” Andrew said, closing his eyes and groaning.

Jesse knew from the sound of his voice that the man’s cock was as stiff as a broom and eager to get to the wedding night. But first, he had to get up the nerve to ask her to marry him.

Mary gave a nervous giggle.

“The other morning, I interrupted your Aunt Grace and Uncle Owen. I don’t know what they were doing, but your uncle said that soon, he was going to make her howl with pleasure,” Mary said, an innocent look on her face.

Andrew was trying so hard not to laugh and yet he and Jesse took one look at each other and busted out laughing.

“What’s so funny?”

“Mary, they were talking about sex,” Andrew said.

“I thought as much,” she said in a low whisper.

Jesse stared at the woman. She was so beautiful with her emerald eyes and long, dark eyelashes that lay on her cheeks when she looked down. Her hair was dark and shiny, and he couldn’t wait to feel it falling around him as she sucked on his cock.

It was time.

He stood and walked around to her and pulled her chair to face him. Then he leaned down on one knee. “Mary Beattle, we’ve been getting to know each other for two weeks. You’re everything we’ve been looking for in a woman, a wife. We promise to do our best to make you the happiest woman in Treasure Falls. Will you spend the rest of your life with me and Andrew as our wife?”
