Standing There (Love in the Park 1)

Once it’s all clear, the guys lead us into the store. I feel like I’m someone special or something and I’m sure any onlookers are wondering the same thing. The owner of the dress shop seems overly eager to help. Having received our call the day before, she had several dresses laid out for me to see that fit my tastes and size.
“Ms. Moore, here’s all the ones we have presently available. I’m sorry that we couldn’t find more for you to select from.” She’s gathered fourteen different gowns all with the ball like princess look I adore so much. Roman added that money wasn’t an object on the phone so I’m certain she was willing to bring out her best.
“Madam LaRoe, your shop has been on the top lists in the country. I’d be thrilled to have one of them to wear on my wedding day.”
“Aren’t you the most beautiful thing ever. Mr. Wolf is very lucky.”
“He would certainly agree,” Casey says, entering the shop with Mrs. Wolf. “I’d say he hit a home run with her. While she’s trying on some pretty dresses, I think we need to find something to wear for all of us.”
“Ooh, I forgot about that part.”
“Yes, and ladies matching colors at least since you’re my lovely maids.”
“Really?” they squeal at the same time.
“Of course. Without either of you and this wouldn’t be happening. Or at least the way it is today. I’m so happy to have both of you in my life. Now let’s hurry before Roman starts checking in on me.”
For two hours we look and pick out the most beautiful looks. The girls will wear matching one shouldered A-line burgundy dresses that go to the knee. They are perfect, and I’m sure their respective men are going to lose their shit. I personally will go in a V-neck ball gown with tulle and lace. It’s flowy and makes me feel like I’m a princess.
“My son is going to…oh heavens, I’m going to cry.” Mrs. Wolf breaks down for a moment, but ever the graceful woman she is, it doesn’t last more than a minute. “You are perfect, and I’d be honored if you called me Diane or mom if you’d like, that is.”
“Mom, that sounds wonderful. And just like that my phone chooses to ring. Any guess who it is?” I tease, hugging her briefly before answering it. “Hello darling,” I answer in my sweetest classy voice I can muster. His mother steps away to give us some privacy.
“Hello, babe. I’m just making sure everything is going smoothly. I’m going to be here pretty late today.”
“I thought so. You’ve been doing as much as you can at home.”
“Yes, I have six debriefings and two more meetings with potential clients.”
“None female I hope. I’m kidding.” I’m not; I’m freaking jealous.
“Actually no, I don’t have any female clients. Most people that come in here aren’t female anyway. I miss you, Lindsay. I can’t wait to have my tongue buried between your thighs tonight.”
“I might be sleeping by then, but it would be an excellent way to wake up,” I reply
“I agree. I’m going into a meeting. I’ll call you later.”
And that he did. By the end of the night, I’m tucked in bed having talked to Roman six more times. Not that I’m complaining, but he made sure to check on me as often as possible. I wake up at ten thirty to the feel of his hands running over my skin, sliding the tee shirt I took from his drawer, up over my hips. “Mm. I’m home, babe,” he whispers, kissing my mound, then moving lower, the second his tongue touches my clit, my hips buck up. “I could stay here all night.” He eats my pussy until I’m singing his name, then he does it again. This time I’m too tired to open my eyes. “Sleep my lovely Lindsay. I can’t wait until the weekend, and you become my wife.” He wraps his arms around me, and we fall asleep together. Life is perfect.
Chapter 18
Roman
She’s taking longer than I like. The wedding starts in three minutes, and I hear she’s not ready. Brent just came back down saying she needs ten more minutes. I’m panicking that she’s somehow changed her mind. It takes my dad and several of my guards to hold me back from running up and carrying her back down to the officiant. Katherine comes out from the stairwell and calls for Brent. I can breathe again. The music plays, and my heart’s popping out of my chest. I stand next to the officiant as I wait for my future to come toward me. As they come down the staircase, my mouth drops open. She’s the most enchanting woman in the perfect gown who’s looking at me with the love I’ve dreamed of.
