“I’ll be waiting,” he repeats my words to me.
“Do you mean that?”
“Damn straight. I don’t know how patiently, but I’ll be waiting.” He kisses me again and then walks out. I click the inside lock and then slip on my pants. I go into the bathroom and check my appearance before heading out into the crowd. It’s died down a lot, but there’s still a bunch of broads at the bar, chatting up Everett. I wonder if this is a regular occurrence. Damn, I don’t know a thing about him. I should forget that we ever met and run, but where would I go? My roommate is getting busy in the car, so I’m guessing we won’t be going anywhere until she’s done.
He spots me and crooks his finger, summoning me to him. The intense stare he’s giving me says it all. He thinks he owns me. Well, he’s not wrong. I want him to own me, possess me, make me feel alive.
“I thought you were going to change,” he growls, invading my space and making my panties drenched.
“Nah, I figured you’d just tear it off me later and I kind of like my normal clothes.” My chest is on display with massive cleavage showing, but a part of me wanted to show those broads that I’m his and I can be sexy too.
“Smart woman.” He wags his brows with a low guttural rumble escaping his chest.
“Do you need any help?” I press my hand onto his chest and smile up at him.
With a whisper he answers, “It would help if I could be buried deep inside you, but that’s going to have to wait. As for the bar, you’re not old enough to be in here, so just take a seat.”
“Okay.”
I take a seat like he says and let my gaze roam around the bar. It’s a very nice place. Not that I’ve ever been to a bar before, but I’ve seen an episode or two of Bar Rescue. Just as I’m admiring the atmosphere, a guy in a Joker costume comes to sit down beside me. “Hi, I’m Harry. Who are you?”
“My fiancé. Back off,” Everett growls. That’s one way to keep guys away from me. We just met, so I know he’s not serious.
“So it’s like that?” Harry questions with a smirk.
“This is my uncle, and he’s just leaving,” Everett says, grabbing the man by the arm and leading him to the door before coming back to my side for a kiss.
“Bar’s closed,” the female bartender I didn’t notice earlier says, holding the door open for the last heifers at the bar.
Everett doesn’t introduce me to the staff, and I’m a little put out by it. Thoughts of him refusing to introduce me to his exes come into my head. It’s a horrible train of thought, so I try to force them out. He takes my things in one hand and my hand in the other and leads us outside.
“Wow, you’re in a hurry to get out of here. Where are we going?” I ask him. He’s so tense that his knuckles whiten as he clenches his fists around the wheel.
He turns his head slightly and smiles at me. “To my house. It’s not too far from here. About ten minutes. Text your friend to let her know you’re okay.”
“Why? She doesn’t seem to care.”
“I’m sure she does. She told me I better take care of you.”
I don’t tell him about her earlier text. Bitch needs to stay with the cousin because this older man belongs to me. I wonder how old he is. He hasn’t been out of college long, so he has to be in his twenties, but that’s all I got.
“You could be a murdering psycho.”
“And yet here you are with me. Besides, my cousin could vouch for my non-homicidal tendencies. Well, almost. That Merrick fuck has a serious hard-on for you.” Everett snarls with an unabashed hatred for my stalker.
“Yeah, I suspected it today in class.” Yes. That’s a headache I don’t need. I should have known better. No guy is that good of a friend, waiting for you before class to talk to you.
“Really? Did he touch you?”
“Not like that. Are you always this territorial?”
“Never.” He shakes his head as if this surprises him as much as it does for me. “Now, sit back and relax.”
“So, Lena, what’s your last name?” He takes my hand in his, intertwining our fingers and bringing them to his lips.
“Denton,” I stammer out. It’s those small gentlemanly acts that make my heart race. God, I know how naïve I’m being, but I want him to be my first and my forever.
“Yours?”
“Williams.” He smiles to himself like there’s an inside joke to it, but I just ignore it.
Chapter Seven
Everett
Fuck, the smell of the sweet heat between her thighs coats the air in the car. I’m wild with lust to claim her. If I were a vampire, I’d want to bite gently between her legs as I’d eat her pussy out. My dick is so damn hard, I can barely focus on the road. I do my best to think of something that’ll calm me down and it works for a minute, but then she started asking questions.
