“Princess, ye need someone to shut yer mouth for ye,” I said, crushing my mouth to hers, kissing her soft lips until she gave in. I took the invitation and slipped my tongue inside, teasing hers out. Fuck, I was going to hell, and I was taking her with me. What started quickly ended just like that when I heard her mother call her. I pushed back and looked down at her sexy, mussed up hair and flushed face. Anger at how she made me lose control, I bit out, “Maybe ye will learn to shut yer mouth.” I walked out of the house for some air. “What the fuck are ye doing? Have ye lost yer bloody mind?” I muttered to myself. Shite, I could still taste her on my tongue. Kissing Silvia was nothing like the one kiss with Regan. I damn near came in my pants, hearing her moan against my mouth. My hard cock throbbed against her tiny little body. “Get that damn girl out of yer head,” I told myself, storming toward Regan’s house.

“Hey, Declan, welcome back. Are ye alright?” Mr. Daley greeted me with a frown.

“I’m fine. Just came back to see what’s going on here.”

“Regan had a bit of a fit after seeing something she shouldn’t have and is resting upstairs with Dante,” he grumbled out. We talk for about ten minutes before Mr. Franchetti came in with his family.

“Dante needs ibuprofen for Regan,” he said to Mrs. Daley.

“Oh, I can get her some.” She headed into the kitchen to grab it, and I followed. Just seeing Silvia made me want to pull her in my arms and kiss her. I didn’t need that trouble right now.

“Oh okay. I’m going to get a drink.”

“Go on, dear,” she said, going through a drawer. “Ye know, I appreciate everything ye’ve done despite the circumstances.”

“Thank ye, Mrs. Daley.” She hugged me tightly, then left me in the room alone with my thoughts and my glass of water. Fuck, I needed to go back home and ignore the roaring desire to thrust my hands through Silvia’s silky black hair and tug her mouth to mine. Making it through this day was going to be a rough one. I should just go home and call it a day.

Chapter 5

Silvia

The day was going fine until it wasn’t. Regan and Dante went outside to talk while the rest of us stood around talking when out of nowhere a barrage of shots rang through the countryside. The men with their guns out looked to see someone shooting at my brother and his woman. The men sent us upstairs, but the second we closed the bedroom door, we were surrounded by a half a dozen armed men. We scream, but they grab our faces, silencing us roughly. We were rushed down the stairs with guns pointed at our heads. Fury, rage, and fear covered the men’s faces as they stared up in dismay.

It was what happened next that changed the dynamic. They attacked Mrs. Daley, violently, sending her body crumbling to the ground and sending Mr. Daley into a rage that was immediate and deadly. A shot rang out, dropping the man that was holding me and Mr. Daley grabbed the man who had his wife and slit his throat. It felt like a blur, but my eyes moved directly to Declan who rescued my mother from one shooter, popping the guy in the head. Then I felt Declan wrap his arm around me protectively and moving me away from the shooters. Declan groaned but still held me close. I could see blood coming from his arm. “Oh no,” I sobbed.

“Ssh, baby. It’s going to be alright.” I didn’t understand how. Blood, bodies, and bullets were everywhere. I clung onto him as he took the final shot. The sound ended, and I fell to the ground in a ball of tears.

“Call for help,” my brother shouted out.

“We need to stop the bleeding. Help me look for towels,” I cried out, seeing how bad Declan and everyone was bleeding. My mother nodded, and we went hunting for a bunch until help arrived. We brought them back, and I rushed to Declan’s side.

“Hang in there. Help is on the way,” Declan grunted.

“Where the fuck are they coming from? London?” Dante bit out. My brother was bleeding a lot, but I had no idea where Regan was.

“They are twenty minutes out. And we needed several ambulances,” Declan groaned as I pressed the towel to his arm to stop the bleeding. I saw he had another wound to his side. I applied pressure to that one too.

Once the ambulance came, I was dragged away from Declan and at my parents’ side. That was when I noticed my father was wounded. I gasped, but he grabbed my hand. “Calmati, mia principessa. I’m fine. Now we need to get your dumb brother to the hospital.”
