“I wasn’t, but what’s the plan?”
“We’re still going to be leaving, and he knows it. The second he calls her we act.”
“That will work,” I stated. Everyone left my office one at a time, so they weren’t noticed, but my da held back. “Son, ye are very diplomatic.”
“For tonight. He can feel in power, but Silvia is mine, and nothing will stop me from keeping her. Even if it means resorting to some underhanded shit. Luckily I have a da to teach me.” We laughed, and he clapped my back with his hand. “How are yrer injuries?”
“Better and better every day.”
“Good. Things could get ugly.”
“I’ll be ready.” We left my office, and I headed up to bed. I wanted to sneak into her room, but I knew things were about to get crazy, so she needed her rest. I stopped outside her door, wondering if she was in her little pajamas or if she decided to lay naked. Growling, I stormed into my room and tried to calm my hard cock which stayed rock solid anytime I thought about her. I stripped down and jumped in the shower, grabbing my cock and stroking it until I came.
I hit my pillow ten minutes later and dreamt of the love of my life.
Chapter 13
Silvia
Spending all day yesterday away from Declan felt like an eternity. I just wanted to be in his arms, but things didn’t go as planned, and I fell fast asleep as soon as I got to the ranch. I hated that we went without him, but I had no idea that they were taking me on their excursion all the way to Dublin. It wasn’t that far, but it was far enough that I didn’t get to see Declan all day.
I woke up early, but so did half the house, leaving me no chance on sneaking in his room. After showering, I decided that I had to tell my parents about Declan me. I wanted to be with him, and as much as I’d miss them, my life was here in Ireland.
But the moment I answered my ringing cell phone everything changed.
“Hello?” I answered with a question, having no idea who this was.
“Ciao Bella. I’ve missed you, my bride.” I fell back onto the bed momentarily stunned.
Gathering my bravado, I snapped, “Angelo, we have nothing to say to each other, and I’m not your bride.”
“Ooh yes, you are, cara mia. Did you think that I’d let you leave me for some Irish fuck? I’ll gut him if you don’t come back to me.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m not with anyone and I sure as fuck don’t want to be with you.”
“Don’t lie to me, cara. I saw you two in the field. You will leave tomorrow. I’m well aware your parents are leaving and the private flight they are taking. Don’t play with me or they won’t make it out of the sky alive.”
“You wouldn’t dare.”
“Oh, I would. Your father tried to ruin me, and now it’s time for payback. I want you and your part of the inheritance.”
“Are you nuts?”
“I won’t let them leave.”
“It’s fine, cara. I have ways to get to your man as well. You have two options. Tell your parents, and your Irish bloke gets whacked. You’re going to come back here with them and tell them that you’ve changed your mind and want to be with me. Do ya hear me, cara mia? I want you to understand I will bury all of them and still take you as mine if you don’t do what I say.”
“Okay, fine. I’m coming back. Please leave Declan alone. He doesn’t have anything to do with us.”
“Oh he does, but if you gave him your sweet pussy, I won’t be so forgiving.”
I didn’t know how to answer that so I lied, “I didn’t give it to you, so why would I have given it to a stranger I just met who hates me.”
“Oh. That man doesn’t hate you, but he will once you’re my wife. Te amo, amore mia.” He ended the call, and I couldn’t move. What was I supposed to do? How was I going to tell Declan goodbye? Would he try to stop me?
I brace myself for what I have to do by packing up my things. Once I’ve managed that, I leave the bedroom and look for Declan. “He’s in the barn with Liam,” Mrs. Sullivan said, drinking her cup of tea with my mother.
“Thank you,” I muttered, trying to avoid eye contact with my mother.
The walk to the barn seemed to fly by in a flash. I couldn’t fathom how I was supposed to handle this. I loved him with my whole heart, and I was going to break his to save his life and that of my parents.
I knocked on the open barn door and saw Declan turn to look at me with a fantastic smile on his face.
