Don't Go Baking My Heart

“No promises. I got the cutest outfit picked out for later. The ‘gram is gonna be on fire.”
“Please don’t have K’s mom on there doing body shots or something.”
“I can’t make any promises. Ms. King is a grown, sexy woman. She can drink and thirst trap if she wants to.”
Cherisse laughed and gave Reba a hug before heading inside to get Keiran. Damn, Reba envied her boss in that moment. She would have loved to be frolicking in St. Lucia for the next two weeks, dipping in some sulphur springs too with a sexy somebody. Her last dalliance had ended because Mr. Man had started acting up, trying to dictate her ways and change her into someone she wasn’t. All that “maybe you need to tone it down a bit” noise wasn’t it. Why he had to ruin their casual sex with all that foolishness was beyond her.
It had reminded her too much of the one serious relationship she had attempted. She had brought up wanting to meet his family since they’d been dating for nine months. He hadn’t felt it was the right time because they were quite conservative and wanted to ease them into meeting her. Maybe she could do something about her hair and clothes in the meanwhile? Fuck all that noise. He hadn’t been singing that tune when she had been breaking his back with her sexy moves.
That had soured her on relationships for a while, so she had been sticking to casual. She didn’t need a fling to get all up on a high horse with her too. No, thank you. Just make her come and shut up with all that.
Her motto was always and forever take me as I am or leave me where you found me. People who wanted the fun Reba for a time but quickly began to act as if she was too much would not be in her orbit for long.
It wouldn’t hurt to find a sexy diversion, but right now, this weekend was about recharging. Her vibrator could more than do the job until she was inclined to seduce someone into having a good casual time with her again.
They all bid Cherisse and Keiran goodbye and a safe trip. Leah, who had given Cherisse and Keiran big hugs before they left, looked up at Devon with her adorable face and asked, “Are we going down to the beach now?”
Devon sighed and nodded. “Sure thing, sweetie.”
Reba bit her lip to keep her laugh in. So even Mr. Grumpy wasn’t immune to Leah’s cuteness. Good to know.
When they all trooped down to the water, Trina’s brow nearly lifted off her forehead when she saw Devon.
“Well, who is this?”
“Devon King, these are my friends, Trina and Ayo. Devon is Cherisse’s boyfriend’s brother.”
“Oh, I see the fine gene runs in that family. Sweet like a Julie mango, mmm-hmm.” Trina did an over-the-top lick of her bottom lip, and Devon looked completely unaffected by her perusal.
“Hi there,” Ayo said.
“Nice to meet you both,” he replied before leaving them to join his family. Leah and Maxi were setting up their beach mats and chairs not too far away from them.
“Oh shit, that voice.” Ayo was practically melting on that blanket, and Reba couldn’t blame her. Devon’s voice conjured up impure thoughts.
“Keep it in your pants, ladies, there’s a child present.”
“You can’t tell me your vag isn’t on fire after hearing that man speak.”
Reba plucked some watermelon from the fruit bowl Trina had prepared. “You might want to get that checked out or something.”
Trina rolled her eyes. “Let me lust, woman, damn!”
“Like you forget you have a boyfriend?” Reba reminded her.
“I’m just looking. Nothing wrong with that,” Trina insisted.
Reba hadn’t yet told them she would be spending her next few weekends with Devon, teaching him some baking tips, and the way he had made it a big issue upstairs, she’d leave that for after this weekend. Trina and Ayo couldn’t be trusted with secrets when high. They might bring that up while tipsy tonight, and Reba didn’t want to ruin the mood because Devon definitely wouldn’t approve.
Not that she would have cared, usually. Devon’s gruffness wasn’t a turn-off per se. She was going to get him to unwind and have fun somehow. Tonight’s cake party would bring the entertainment for both Ms. King and everyone else. They would need to wait until Leah went to bed to indulge in some of her other planned activities, but it would be worth the wait.
She could be patient when it suited her.
They spent most of the morning soaking up the sun that graced them with its warm presence. Reba sent up a silent thanks to the weather gods for being cool and allowing her to bask in their glow. It was the perfect lighting for cute and sexy selfies.
Being friends with Trina and Ayo meant she didn’t have to beg either of them to take photos of her, either.
“Yes, gyal, cock yuh hip just so,” Trina instructed as Reba did just that, popping her booty to get the right angle and show off her tattoo.
