He pushed her hoodie off her head. “That has to be the worst speech ever.”
“But you are into it and me, right?”
“Yes.”
“So, can you kiss me now? Because it’s been a while.”
He ducked his head and took her mouth. It had felt like forever indeed.
“Devon, just one favour.”
“Hmm?” he murmured against her lips.
“Please don’t tell anyone you hired me for baking lessons because that cake is a monstrosity for real. I don’t want people linking me to that.”
He huffed out a laugh, and she grinned back. “Okay, deal.”
Reba tugged on his t-shirt. “Now, let’s leave so I can give you some cheer-up sex.”
“Let’s. I feel really down at the moment.”
“Good Lord, I’ve created a monster.”
