Queen of Their Colony (Kindred Tales)

“It was the Touch-Sign,” V’rone said impatiently. “It lets a colony know when a female is truly their Queen. In this case, there’s no fucking doubt—Terra is ours and we need to claim her!”
“Doesn’t she get any say in the matter?” Dra’vik asked mildly. “We’re not savages here—we don’t just grab females and demand that they bond with us.”
From the frustrated look on V’rone’s face, that was exactly what he’d had in mind. But Dra’vik was still standing in his way, forcing him to reconsider.
“I recommend we let Tem go and speak to her,” Rive said, nodding at the Soul of their colony. “He is definitely the best at dealing with our reluctant Queen.”
But to his surprise, Tem shook his head.
“I think you should go, Rive,” he said.
“What? Why him?” V’rone demanded. “Why not me?”
“Because,” Tem said, “You frighten our Lady with your intensity, V’rone.”
“Well, she likes you well enough,” the Brawn of their colony muttered. “Why don’t you go, Tem?”
“Terra is frightened of you and charmed by me but she is intrigued by Rive,” Tem explained. “Did you not see how she looked at him while she was tracing his oculars? I think he might be what the humans call her ‘type.’ Besides, he’s the most logical of us—maybe he can reason with her.”
Rive wasn’t at all sure of that, but there could be no denying that he longed for more of the lovely Elite’s touch—though she clearly thought she was too good for them.
“I will go,” he said shortly. “But I cannot promise to talk her into bonding with the three of us. After all—she’s a Mature Elite—she could have any male she wanted.”
“She wants us,” V’rone said, frowning. “That Touch-Sign showed it. She just doesn’t know it yet.”
“I’ll try,” Rive said, shrugging. “That’s all I can promise.”
“Give her a little while to cool off first,” Dra’vik advised him. “These Earth females sometimes need time to themselves and you have to give it to them if you don’t want to crash and burn. Let her take some time to herself before you seek her out.”
V’rone let out a frustrated growl but Tem nodded and Rive saw the logic in the Drake Monstrum’s suggestions as well.
“I will give her some time,” he agreed.
And while he was waiting, he could try to think what to say to convince the lovely Mature Elite of the benefits of being their Queen.

“What happened to you back there?” Iyanna asked when they were safely inside the guest suite with the door shut firmly behind them.
“It…it’s so embarrassing. I hardly know how to explain.” Terra still felt weak in the knees after the massive orgasm. Her heart rate had slowed some, however, and she was a little more in control of herself. “It…it was so strange,” she said, shaking her head.
Iyanna put a hand on her hip.
“Girl, just tell me,” she said. “How can I help you if I don’t know the facts?”
“They made me come, all right?” Terra ran a shaking hand through her hair. “When I took their hands I had an orgasm—and not a little one either. It was like a freaking nuclear explosion in my panties! I’ve never felt anything like it in my life.”
“Wow…” Iyanna shook her head. “I thought maybe you got a really painful shock or something.”
“It was a shock, all right,” Terra snapped. She sighed and rubbed her temples where a headache was threatening to form. “Look, I’m sorry, I just never expected anything like this to happen to me when I came up here!”
“I didn’t either when I first came,” Iyanna said frankly. “But then I ran into Dra’vik in the dark and, well…” She shrugged. “The rest is history.”
“Yes, but your husband is just one guy,” Terra pointed out. “I mean, he’s a freaking huge guy, but there’s still only just one of him.”
“So I guess you’re not into multiple partners, then?” Iyanna raised her eyebrows enquiringly.
“No, I’m not into ‘multiple partners!’” Terra exclaimed. “I never even had a threesome back in college when everyone was doing it! And Gregoryory and I were never what you’d call ‘swingers’ either. He just wasn’t very adventurous in the bedroom. I never cheated on him even once, even though he felt perfectly fine cheating on me with his cute little intern. And now he’s going to marry her at the end of the week and—”
She stopped and raked a hand through her hair again. God, how could she spill such embarrassing information to a friend she’d only just met in person? All through their online relationship, she’d been careful not to get too personal or mention her recent divorce to Iyanna. And now, everything had come out.
Also, how was it that every thought in her head led back to Gregoryory and his infidelity and upcoming wedding? She’d just had the strangest and most erotic encounter of her life with three complete strangers who were all huge multicolored aliens and still she was thinking of her ex! It was like an obsessive thought that she couldn’t get rid of.
