“I…don’t know what came over me.” V’rone shook his head, like a man waking up from a dream. “I never meant to…”
“I know you didn’t.” Terra rose with a groan—she really was getting too old for this kind of rough sex—and turned to face him.
“I hurt you.” V’rone looked down at her, his eyes wide with regret. “I’m sorry—so sorry, little Terra!”
“You were under the influence of the spoors,” Terra told him firmly.
“But to take the Queen and to try to seed her womb without her permission—there is no greater crime in our colony!” V’rone shook his head. “I should be punished—possibly even put to death!”
“No, V’rone!” Reaching up, Terra took his face in her hands. “It wasn’t your fault and I don’t blame you,” she told him. “And…it was my decision to let you…let you come inside me,” she added.
“It…it was?” V’rone asked uncertainly.
Terra nodded.
“Rive and Tem wanted to try and pull you off me—out of me. But I wouldn’t let them. I made the decision to let you fill my pussy with your cum.”
“Which is still dripping out of you,” Tem said dryly. “My Lady, there is a small spring over in the corner of the cave. Would you care to have a wash?”
“Yes, actually.” Terra nodded. “I…I think that’s a good idea.”
She still felt shaky from the rough fucking and the look of remorse that remained on V’rone’s face made her wonder if she’d made the right decision when she’d told Tem and Rive to just let the big Monstrum come inside her.
But damn it, she hadn’t been thinking with her head at that point! She’d let her passion and her need to orgasm take over. It was probably stupid but it was done and over with now…wasn’t it?
But as she washed her trembling legs and throbbing pussy off in the cool spring water in the corner of the cave, she could still feel V’rone’s remorseful gaze on her back.
And she couldn’t help thinking there might be consequences for her rash decision…
THIRTY-EIGHT
Gods, can’t believe I did that! Can’t believe I took her without her permission!
V’rone’s head still felt foggy from the spoors and he shook it again, trying to come to terms with his actions. Tem and Rive were still giving him looks and he felt fucking horrible, knowing what he’d done.
To take the Queen against her will was the gravest crime any Colony Monstrum could commit. It normally carried with it the charge of death or at the very least, banishment. Rive and Tem would be perfectly within their rights to kick him out of the colony right now. It didn’t matter that the three of them had been together for years—what he had done was unforgivable.
And yet, somehow Terra had forgiven him.
Or had she?
He watched her as she washed herself off at the small underground spring. She looked shaky, as though she was trying to recover from what he’d done to her.
How could I have done it? How? What’s wrong with me? V’rone asked himself over and over again.
The last thing he remembered clearly was running through the valley of the Chirrips with Terra over his shoulder, trying not to breath in the floating clouds of brown spoors. But he hadn’t been able to help sucking in several lungfuls of the fucking things and that was where his memory started getting hazy.
Everything was funny—I remember that, he thought. Fucking hilarious! Never laughed so hard in my life!
You never fucked so hard in your life either, a voice in his head informed him. You were rough with her, V’rone—rough with the very female you hope to bond as a Queen to your colony. Can you blame her now if she never wants to bond?
He’d ruined it—ruined any chance they had and he knew it. The looks in Tem and Rive’s faces said they knew it too. Their accusing eyes said that he’d blown their only opportunity with his selfish, ruthless lust.
V’rone lowered his head—he couldn’t look at them anymore—any of them.
After this is over, I’ll leave the colony, he told himself. Tem and Rive are better off without me. Maybe they can still find a female who will be their Queen, maybe Terra will agree to bond with them if I’m not around.
It was difficult but not unheard of for an incomplete colony to bond with a chosen Queen. V’rone thought that his colony-mates had a better chance without him. And he vowed to remove himself from the equation as soon as this quest was over.
THIRTY-NINE
“This is the final combination—are we all ready?” Rive looked behind him where Tem and V’rone and Terra were all waiting silently for him to turn the final tumbler on the combination lock that kept the door to the next world closed. V’rone had a remorseful, hangdog look on his face and Tem was silent and looked sad.
