Chapter Two

Trey looked out his windshield as he followed his friend into his driveway. Fuck, nice place. The business must be doing well. He parked in a spot off to the side, got out, and grabbed his bags.

“This way,” Travis said.

“I like your house.”

“Nia picked it out. I was living in a condo in the building. You might think about living in one of them unless you want a house. I think we have at least one open. I can show you them next week.”

“Sounds good.”

Trey followed him into the front door and set his bags to the side as he watched an older man walking toward them.

“Hey, Lawrence, I’d like you to meet a good friend of mine, Trey Black. He’ll be staying with us for a while.”

Lawrence put his hands behind his back and bowed. “It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Black.”

“You can call me Trey.”

Travis snorted. “I’ve been trying to get him to call me Travis for about two years. He’s the man you need to see about anything. He and Mrs. Willis run the place. I just sleep here.”

Trey grinned at the sparkle in the older man’s eyes.

“Actually, I run the place, and Mrs. Willis runs after Nia.”

Travis laughed.

Trey heard a scream and jerked his gaze to the stairs.

“I wanted to warn you she knew you were home,” Lawrence said.

Travis chuckled. “That’s okay. You’re about ready to meet my Nia.”

Trey looked up and saw a pretty and petite woman start to run down the steps but stopped suddenly at the disgruntled looks on Travis’s and Lawrence’s faces. She took the rest of the steps slowly, and then when she hit bottom, she raced to Travis and jumped into his arms.

“Daddy, I’m so glad you’re home. I missed you so much.”

Travis snorted. “Baby, I’ve only been gone for four hours.”

Trey watched the two embrace like they hadn’t seen each other in weeks. He looked at the butler. “Does this happen every time he comes home?”

Lawrence nodded, and his lips twitched. “Oh, my yes. It’s hard for the sweet girl to be away from her daddy for long.”

Trey just grinned. When he turned back to the couple, he coughed to get their attention because they were mauling each other with kisses. Damn, it would be nice to have a homecoming like that every night—something to look forward to every day.

Travis set Nia on her feet and wrapped an arm around her waist. “Baby, I’d like you to meet my friend, Trey.”

Trey watched her eyes widen, and a huge smile crossed her face. She walked to him and hugged him tightly. “I’m so glad you’re home. He’s talked about you a lot. I know you’ll make Daddy happy.”

Travis snickered at the look on his face. “Littles tend to be very affectionate.”

It surprised him for a split second before he hugged her back. Very few people, especially women, tried to get close to him. He was not only huge, at six feet six and over two hundred and fifty pounds, but his dominant personality was very evident, making most people nervous. “I’m glad I’m home, too, and I’m very glad to meet you.”

She walked back to Travis and asked Trey, “Are you staying here?”

“Yes. Is that okay?” he asked her.

She looked stunned and then turned her attention to Travis. “Is that okay, Daddy?”
