Make Me: The World of Knott - Page 12

5Garret

"My prince."I whispered the words, my core tightening as I watched the plug slide into his ass, his tightness holding it in place and leaving him with a long tail swooping down the back of his thighs. My cock twitched at seeing it inside him, but I was already too spent after the last hour spent enjoying his body.

My greatest love. After centuries of looking I never thought I would find it, especially not in this wonderful man.

I leaned over him, my hands soft against the burning heat of his body. His pulse rampaged under my touch as I kissed him, my fangs running over his skin. He tensed at the pressure, inhaling in panic that I would break his skin. That I would drink from him.

"Garret." I couldn't tell if he spoke in a scold or a plea, but it didn't matter. I knew the rules.

"Yes, Elliot?" I asked before pressing my fangs against him, the mix of my chilled breath against the boiling heat of his skin rising in a soft fog. He shivered and I clung to his hips, my nails elongating as my fangs did.

I was a Synian. I wanted nothing more than to sink my fangs into this man, to feast on his blood, to slide my claws over his flesh and lap at his delicious nectar. But it was forbidden. He had set that rule on our first meeting, and I would stick to it. Even if it meant being driven near to madness by his intoxicating aroma.

"Do you wish to test me?" Elliot asked, even though his voice was just as much of a growl that time.

"Just as you test me." I nipped at the perfect rise of his ass again, careful not to break the skin before I stepped away, running the tail he now wore through my hands, knowing that the slight shift of pressure on his plug would send a radiating pleasure through him.

We had developed quite the collection of toys in the years we had been together, but this one would always be my favorite. I loved placing it inside him. I loved watching him wear it.

"We make quite the pair, don't we? Testing each other. Driving each other mad," Elliot mused, pouring himself a brandy before he sunk into the oversized velvet chair he had brought in here last year. He needed a good place to sit while he waited for me, or so he had said. Sitting in it, as regally as he did, he looked more like a King than I did.

His skin was a perfect dark shade of olive, the depth of it making his bright green eyes that much more vibrant. The dark lines of his tattoos only helped that, and he had plenty, the swirling lines of his kind marking his skin and his tribe. I had asked him about them once, but he wasn't talking.

Just like so many other things.

Sometimes the allure of him was too much. But it was the mystery that brought me back. I needed to know him. I wanted him. I wanted to know everything about him.

"Isn't that what you love about me?" Elliot continued, swirling the amber liquid in his glass. It wasn't the first time he asked the question. He knew what he was doing.

I gave him a smile as I pulled my long curls into the high 'man bun' my brother had teased me about on more than one occasion and sunk into my own chair, a glass of blood already chilled and waiting for me.

I needed to feed, and if Elliot wouldn't allow me his flesh then this would have to suffice. It had been taken from one of the Maidens just that morning, the girl moaning as she was harvested.

"I love everything about you, Elliot." My heart, or the stretch of my body where a heart should beat, shuttered as if in answer. It was not the first time I would tell him this, but every time I did it was as though I was being reminded of just how strong those feelings were. "I love your smile, your wit, your caring, your commitment. I love the way you read books, and the way you laugh when you think no one is watching you."

"Damn, Garret," he grinned, downing the liquid in his glass. "You've got it bad."

"You know I do," I whispered, the painful tightness in my chest increasing as I swirled the blood, suddenly doubting what I was about to say. What I was about to ask for. Doubting what I had been willing to give up, for him.

The thoughts had been swimming around in my mind since we first discussed it. Well, since we had our first fight about it. We had never fought before, but we had fought over this, our stubborn heads clashing together. I was nervous to bring it back up, but I couldn't put it off.

Me? Nervous!

The idea was asinine. I was not supposed to be nervous. I was a Synian King, a powerful dominating monster. I ruled and commanded... but this man sent me into waves of nerves. I shifted my weight, trying to ignore the way he smiled.

"You seem to have something on your mind." His sly smile was only making my nerves peak.

Screw it! I downed the blood, swallowing it all before I slammed the glass down with a crack and leaned into him.

"I've been thinking about what you asked," I began, watching him carefully. The playful grin on his face flickered and I almost lost my resolve.

"About running away with me?" he prompted. If it wasn't for the powerful hearing of the Synians I might have missed his whisper completely.

I nodded "Yes. About starting a new life together.” I paused, the hope in his eyes igniting my own. Just that look made me feel as warm as his touch did. It was all the confirmation I needed. This was right.

“Yes?”

“I think--"
