“What do you mean just an Omega? Is there more than one kind of Omega?” First I’m a Fae, now I’m not. Elliot’s refusal to give more information was really starting to grow old.
“There is. There are those that are bred to build armies and to be gifted to the Alpha’s by the King. And then there are the Omega’s that are born through the royal families. The Omega’s that the King bestows with power.”
“Royal? Wait, are you saying…” Now I was the one staring at the door. “The list Jett made. You said they were all royal families. Fae families. Was he trying to find our father?”
I choked on the last word, knowing full well whose name was on the bottom of that list.
Healynas.
“Elliot?” Garret’s voice was soft, as if he couldn’t get more than one word out. He probably couldn’t. I wasn’t even sure I was breathing. “How do you know all this?”
I couldn’t even be glad that I wasn’t the only one who didn’t know everything about him. But neither did Garret. Neither did anyone, even Dawn had called him by another name, something I had forgotten about until that moment.
“I’ve told you. I am a Sylph. My kind was created by the Fae as their guards. The same as the Wolves, and the Dragons, as the Mer. Except we were created by the house of wind. The house that Healynas heads.”
“I was raised to be his personal guard.”
