“I am not taking the girl’s side. I am following Azil’s orders, as I always will. You should have done the same. If you truly believed that she was capable of cursing a ship, what do you think raping her would have produced?”
The Siren’s mouth fell open and he stared at me, wondering if I had already cursed him. He was genuinely paralyzed with fear at the idea that his life was officially over because of his treatment towards me. I rolled my eyes. At that point, I wished that I had the ability to curse them. I was being blamed for something that I had no control of, and I would have made their dicks fall off if I had the choice.
He turned away from me and lunged his tail at Xagon, but Xagon dodged it and tossed the man onto the deck. He threw a punch that landed on the back of the Siren’s neck, rendering him unconscious. I was watching Xagon in all his glory, and I was liking every moment of it.
He grabbed another Siren with his four separate tails and flung him to the other side of the ship. He was a force, and it didn’t seem as if anyone could overpower him. That was probably why Azil had chosen him as second in command. I was most in awe of the fact that they hadn’t all fled at that point. Did they not see that it was pointless to go up against him?
I was breathless watching Xagon fight. It was probably the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, and it was all for me. I wasn’t sure how I felt about him defending me. I had been alone now for so long that I wasn’t used to someone literally fighting to save my life. I knew that he wasn’t doing it because he loved me, or even because he was trying to get in my pants. He was doing it for no other reason than he was following the orders of a Siren that he highly respected. He could have easily let them throw me over and washed his hands of me. Was it all really just loyalty for Azil? Was their friendship that strong?
Another Siren ran from the scene and Xagon screamed, “Is there anyone else?”
The rest of the Sirens slowly backed away from Xagon. They looked down at me with pure hatred in their eyes, it was so fierce I had to look away. They were torn between whether they should stay and try to kill me, or if they should run away from Xagon. I was confident that they would come for me another time. Things weren’t over between us.
When they were all gone, I sat there shaking, my nightshirt still tossed a few feet away from me on the deck. I looked up to find Xagon staring down at me. I didn’t have the energy for a quick comeback, not that I would have been able to with a gag in my mouth. I had never felt so humiliated in all my life.
There was something in his eyes, and written all over his face, that I could not read. He bent down and gently took the gag out of my mouth. I started coughing and gagging on the deck. He was looking at me, but I avoided his gaze. I wasn’t about to be put under any spell when I was naked in front of him.
He took the restraints off my hands, and I rubbed at my wrists where the ropes had burnt my skin. He got up and collected my panties and handed them to me. I quickly slid my panties on, hoping that he wasn’t watching me. I could not meet his eyes; I was too ashamed.
I slipped into my nightshirt and did up all the remaining buttons. Some of them had been torn completely off, and there wasn’t anything to be done about that. I wiped the tears from my cheek, not meeting his gaze. I could feel him staring at me, but all I felt was shame that he had seen me naked, and so open for all to see.
“Come with me, Flipp, and I’ll get you cleaned up.”
