Mistress of the Damned

Some of the crew members around me turned into Serpents to attack the others onboard. My heart started beating fast, as I knew that I had no way of telling the difference between a Serpent from our ship, and one from the other. How would I kill anyone from the opposing ship?
I turned around to see Sirens on the back of the Serpents that were surrounding the boat. They were embedding spears and swords through the skin, killing them instantly. A Serpent slithered right for me from across the deck, and I took out my dagger. The Serpent launched itself in the air, its pointy teeth bared, and I bent forward on my knee before I plunged the dagger into the Serpent’s belly. It flopped on top of me and I shrugged it off, fighting revulsion. There were so many Sirens from the other ship jumping over and turning into Serpents, I wasn’t sure how we would beat them.
A Siren grabbed me from behind and put his hand over my mouth. I whipped my tail around and took out his legs. While on the floor he grabbed one of my legs and toppled me over. I hit the deck hard, and suddenly I had a spear up against my throat.
“I will kill you now, monster slut, if you move another inch. You’re coming with me. I suggest you don’t fight it.”
He got up slowly, holding the spear against my throat as I moved slowly with him. As we made our way to the ship, I could see that the Sirens from the other ship were losing the battle. We were going to win. The problem was that everyone, including Azil and Xagon, were fighting, and no one noticed I was in trouble. I knew that none of the regular crew members would care that I was being captured, so I was on my own. I wanted to cry out to Xagon, but I worried that my throat would be slit before he could help me.
We were almost to the side of the ship when a black shadow fell over us. We both froze, not knowing what caused such a large shadow. Suddenly our path was blocked by a massive monster with horns like a devil, dark skin, and enormous wings. My eyes slowly went up his body, which was hard rock and chiseled. Much like Xagon, he didn’t wear a shirt. He had armor bands on his arms, as well as armor on the briefs he wore, which didn’t cover much. Aside from the horns on his head, he had spikes on his shoulder blades that looked sharp enough to cut through steel. He had a full tail that rose above his head, and skin the color of dirty ice.
“What the hell,” I whispered. I had no idea where it came from, or if it was there to kill me or the Sirens.
“Back off or I’ll kill her,” the Siren said.
A murderous look came over the creature’s face, and its tail swung upwards. In a flash of a second, it knocked him over. I fell with him, but he lost a hold of his spear, and it clattered across the deck. I jumped off the deck and backed away from the monster, unsure if I was next. As quick as the Siren was knocked on the ground, the creature took a long blade out of its holder and swung it across the Siren's throat. Blood spurted out of the Siren's neck and pooled all over the deck. I screamed and backed away.
The creature stalked towards me and muttered, “Lilith.”
I stopped, walking away. “What did you call me?”
He continued towards me with his hand reaching out. I instinctively held my hand out too, not sensing any danger with the creature. I was sure that he saved me.
“Hold it right there.”
I looked to the side and saw Azil and Xagon approaching. They were surrounding the creature, as were the crew members. They had won the battle and the other ship was leaving. The creature was not part of their army.
The creature looked behind it and assessed the situation. I thought it might lunge after them anyway because it had bloodlust in its eyes, but it didn’t move. Its eyes flickered back to me, and I wondered what it thought of me.
“Back away from her,” Xagon said. He moved closer to the creature, and a bunch of the Sirens surrounded the creature, taking it into custody. I watched as they dragged the massive creature away. It continued to look back at me, as if I was something special to it.
“What the hell is going on?”
