Now he just had to warn Violet that there was an old pack with lots of members that were going to be on the lookout for her.
He immediately went back to the spot in the woods where she paralyzed him. Then, he traced her steps backward, scenting her. She obviously tried to conceal her scent. She’d gone through a lake and a stream. But it didn’t matter. Now that he’d been close to her again, he could feel her. She was close by.
He found her. Luckily, she was on her way home, but not there yet. He knew she would not react well to him coming to her home. Humans didn't like being followed to their homes either, but wolf shifters were a special kind of territorial.
"Violet."
She whirled around. "What are you doing here?” she yelled. “Did I not make myself clear?"
"Oh, you made yourself perfectly clear when you cursed me and left me on the forest floor."
She opened her mouth and then slammed it shut. "I don't want to see you again. I don't want you near me. I don't understand why you can't grasp that fact.”
“This isn’t about us anymore. My Alpha wondered where I was. I told him what you did. Now he has declared you an enemy of our pack. He's going to be showing everyone your photo. Obviously, since you are my mate, I am not going to let that happen. I tried to stop him but because you threatened his pack with your curse, he feels justified.”
She just stood there for a minute staring at him. He couldn't help it. He still wanted her. No matter what she'd done to him, he could not get her out of his system.
