Chapter Thirty:

Talking Ficus

Even a cold showercouldn’t chill the desire burning my bones. Knowing Sterling hadn’t come and the fact that he wanted to try edging today had me completely on edge before we even truly began. I wanted him to deny me before either of us came, then I wanted him to fuck my brains out when we switched places at the hospital. I knew the latter wasn’t going to happen, because what Sterling would want to do to me by that point wouldn’t be possible in that setting. Neither of us would be getting what we needed anytime soon, and knowing that was exhilarating.

It didn’t make life easier though. I busied myself catching up on laundry and meal prep for the next few days, trying hard not to think about anything sexual but when my phone vibrated the first time I lost all progress, especially when it was a photo of Sterling’s clothed boner. “Fucking hell. I should have just rode the fucker when I had the chance. Ugh,” I groaned, then began taking deep, calming breaths as I waited for further instructions, or anything that might help relieve some of this tension, but the doorbell rang before anything else came in.

Carl’s barking filled the front room as I rushed over, and it wasn’t until I yanked it open and saw Jake that I realized what I was wearing. “Shit. Um, sorry!” I shoved it to block me and cleared my throat. “I was doing laundry, sorry, let me go put on some shorts. Fuck,” I whispered as I darted toward the stairs, freaking out at the fact that Jake just saw me in Sterling’s t-shirt and my panties. “Shit, Sterling’s going to flip.”

I dressed appropriately in a shirt of my own and some jeans before going back down, blushing slightly when Jake had made himself at home on the couch. “Hey. Sorry about that, I wasn’t thinking. Believe it or not, I don’t normally answer the door without pants.”

“Does Sterling know you steal his shirts? I’ve seen him wear that one mowing the grass,” he said casually. “Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me.”

“Lucky me,” I played along. “Wait, isn’t there a law about not judging someone on their laundry day outfit? I think it’s thou shall not judge what one wears on laundry day.” I raised my eyebrows playfully. “I’ll keep your lawbreaking secret too, I guess.”

Jake sighed as Carl jumped up and laid his head in his lap. “You somehow invented a crime and then used it to buy my silence. Clever. How’s Charlie?”

“I’ve been called that once or twice. He’s doing much better, actually. He’s going to have to do some inpatient rehab in a bit which will be challenging, but he’s still got a lot of fight in him.” I glanced down at my phone when it vibrated and squirmed when I read the text.

Sterling: How wet are you right now?

Christ on a cracker. I was fine for a few moments.

Me: Was dripping, but your neighbor decided to stop by and ruin it.

“Sorry, did you say something else?” I shifted my attention back to Jake, who thankfully looked oblivious.

“Just that I’m glad he’s doing better. I was worried about him.”

Buzz.

Sterling: Tell him to leave. Your scent is still all over my hand and it’s driving me nuts. Tell him to leave.

Shit, is this an order? He said it twice ... fucking fuck.“Yeah, he is, and I just realized I need to go wash his sheets and stuff.” Please go, don’t make me say it. I didn’t respond to Sterling yet because I was hoping to be able to simply respond with “he’s gone,” but since Jake hadn’t moved yet I was beginning to fear Sterling would think I was ignoring him.

Me: Tying to get rid of him now ... he saw me in your shirt and panties. I’m sorry, Sir.

Nothing happened for several minutes. No movement from Jake, no response from Sterling, nothing at all but low, happy whines from Carl as Jake scratched his belly. Then it was Jake’s phone that was ringing, Jake who was springing to his feet as the color drained from his face, Jake who was dashing for the door as he hung up. “Fuck, it’s the cops! They said someone broke in, I have to go!”

The door stayed wide open as he tripped down the front stairs, and I barely had time to feel worried for him before my phone was buzzing again.

Sterling: Lock the door and don’t let him back in. It’s good to know I have a convincing cop voice.

“Fucking hell.” Just knowing the lengths he’d go through to get another man away from me had me wet again as I locked the door and leaned against it.

Me: Locked, Sir. And I’m so fucking wet for you.

Sterling: Good girl. Color?

Me: Green. The greenest of greens. Can I touch myself?

I moved away from the door and sat back on the couch, my eyes locking on the not-so-hidden nanny cam, as I spread my legs and took relaxing breaths. The jeans would stop most from being seen, but I still hoped Sterling was watching.

Just the thought had my pussy throbbing.

Sterling: That depends, doesn’t it, sweetheart? What are you thinking about? Your sweet, caring neighbor Jake ... or the way my fingers felt? About how hard you came on my lap when you soaked those tiny little shorts?

Sterling: If you’re thinking about all the things I’m going to do to you when I get you alone again, then go ahead. Touch. Touch yourself like I touched you, but don’t come. It’s mine.
