Exposed King (Boys of Brisley 2) - Page 31

Maggie scoffed and walked away, so I slid out of my side of the booth and moved next to Mia, then kissed her repeatedly until she shoved me back with a curse.

“Sorry, baby. It’s hot when you get all jealous. But I have to say, I’m not your man.”

“You are if I say you are. Eat your pinche waffles.” In spite of her tone, I could see a smile fighting toward the surface.

“Bossy, too,” I scolded playfully. “What if I told you to make me?”

Narrowed eyes met mine as she reached over without looking and cut a piece off with my fork, then she fed it to me without breaking our gazes. “Open.”

I took the bite quickly then leaned in to kiss her without chewing first, just a closed-lipped peck that made me suddenly hate waffles. I needed her more than I needed them. “Marry me.”

Mia’s smile that time was so extraordinary I missed her words as she denied me once again, but I also didn’t mind it. I saw the look in her eyes, and she was just as taken with me as I was with her. “You taste like syrup, Oliver Bishop. And she didn’t even bring you extra. She better not get a two-hundred-dollar tip, too.”

“Nah, I learned my lesson when the first one didn’t go over so well,” I admitted. “But fine. No marriage yet. You finally gonna agree to go on a date with me at least? I’m fragile right now and can’t handle more rejection.”

“Let me hear how loud that snoring is first, yeah? One step at a time, Papí. Eat.”

She nodded at my plate adamantly, so I sighed and pulled it toward me.

“Fine. But at least tell me I’ve moved up a notch in Fuck, Marry, Kill? You said I had to get you off more than twice and I did that,” I reminded her. “And then some.”

Mia’s head fell back with a laugh. “You sure did, baby. Think you can do more tonight?” Her hand slid over to my thigh. “You might have to cover my mouth.”

I jerked and forced thoughts of old, saggy grandpa balls to get my budding erection to stop in its tracks. “Yep. Mhm. Yeah. I can do that.”

Suddenly, I forgot why I’d even come to Sunday’s that day — all I could think about was her and the fact that I’d be in her bed by midnight.

I couldn’t fucking wait.
