“Five,” I say.
He nods. “Good.”
“Jeez,” Dino snipes. “You’re both as bad as each other.”
I ignore Dino and get to my feet. “Are we done with the heart to heart?” As far as I’m concerned the meeting is over.
Lorcan’s green eyes clash with mine. “Not yet. Sit the fuck down.”
I hesitate, hovering on the brink of stalking out. But the part of me that needs the money, that wants to get paid, forces my ass back in it’s seat.
“Are you going to tell us what else is going on?” Dino asks. “The guy with the mustang. The same guy who tried to kill Saskia. Why was he following you?”
I give Jude a shitty look. “You told them?”
He laughs and takes a swig of his beer. He’s loving this.
“Viola, who the fuck is he?” Dino snarls. I’m not sure he knows how sweet looking his dimple is when he’s pissed off. It makes his moods hard to gauge.
“What are you negotiating with Razor?” I counter.
Dino turns his gaze to Lorcan, who in turn looks at me with those shattered-glass green eyes. “There are things we can’t tell you.”
“You have your secrets. I have mine,” I say, folding my arms.
All three stare me down, until Lorcan nods at Dino.
“Razor has contacts inside,” says Dino.
“Inside prison?”
“More the young offender’s institutions. We need him to get a message to a friend in a segregation unit at one of them.”
I furrow my brow. “A friend?”
“A cousin. No one you know,” says Jude a little too quickly.
I look between all three boys. “A message about what? And why?”
Jude glares at me. “His inheritance, alright. He’s one of us. He needs to know what we’re planning so he doesn’t think we’re screwing him over. Now your turn. Who’s the crazy stalker?”
“Just an ex-colleague. No one you know.” That’s true. Although Lorcan knows about him. I glance at Lorcan who so far hasn’t said jack shit.
Dino arches a brow. “An ex colleague who tried to kidnap you?”
“I have it under control.”
“Bullshit,” Jude counters. “He was fucking raping you.”
Lorcan’s eyes flash with something I can’t quite interpret as he watches the exchange, taking a mouthful of beer.
“Like fuck did he. I think I’d remember that,” I snort.
Jude shakes his head. “Well, he was about to. He had his hands all over you. Not that you seemed to mind.”
“Is that true?’ Lorcan finally speaks, voice lacking any kind of emotion.
“He wouldn’t dare touch me,” I say. “And I don’t see what it matters if he did.”
