Dino’s gaze switches to me. “You know that for certain?”

“He had Griffin’s niece hostage,” I shrug.

Dino frowns. “I need to think. And we need to get you checked out. He just fucking raped you.”

“Yes, I know. I was there,” I snap at him. “Just give it to me. Give me the gun.”

Dino’s face hardens into rigid stone. “No, I’m getting you out of here. You’re still in shock.”

Kristian laughs which starts another coughing fit.

Shock?I start to laugh too because what else can I do? And once I start, I can’t fucking stop.

Dino shakes his head and tries to bring me into his arms, but I push him away. I’m not ready. Not after that violation. If he touches me too soon, I might just grab that gun and shoot all the fucking men in the room, Dino included.

“Fine, then let’s go. I desperately need a fucking shower.”

“Wait,” Dino says. He raises the gun to his brother’s head. “Where is the controller for the tracker?”

Kristian smiles and pulls it out of his pocket. Dino takes it from him and switches it off. The tracker on my ankle makes a beeping noise and then falls off.

There’sno car waiting for us when we get outside. I’m wearing Dino’s jacket and little else when he flags a black hackney cab down. I refuse to go to the hospital, so Dino tells the driver to take us home.

Home.

Feels like so long ago it was the four of us in the frat house.

“What happened to the others?” I ask as Dino exhales after listening to a voicemail.

He shakes his head. “They got ambushed by Griffin’s men. Somehow, they knew we’d be coming and where we’d be. They’re fine. They managed to escape but we can’t go home. They know where the frat house is. We’re not safe there.”

“Then where?” The chill is beginning to seep into my bones. My teeth start chattering again.

“They’ve sent Quinn the coordinates. I’m to call her as soon as I’ve got you out. Fuck you’re turning blue. Here.” He starts to take off his shirt.

“No, just get me somewhere I can get clean,” I say.

Dino sighs and digs in his pocket for a tissue. “Your mouth is starting to bleed again,” he says. I take it and dab at my lip because the cab driver is looking at us in the rearview mirror.

“What you fucking looking at?” Dino bites out at him.

“Nothing, mate. I didn’t see a thing.”

“Dino,” I say, getting his attention back. “Where are we going?”

Dino finally relents and calls Quinn, and she sends him the details of the safe location Dante has secured for us.

He frowns as soon as he gets the address.

“What is it?” I ask.

“Fucking crazy if you ask me…” He turns his screen so I can see what’s on it.
