Where the hell is Jude.

As the pervert locks the door to my room with his special key, giving me a creepy smile, I glance around my room for a weapon. Fuck drugging him. I’ll gut him here and now.

But the room is stark empty the way it’s always been. I eye Bateman and take another step back. In the pocket of my scrubs is the ballpoint pen I stole from one of the nurses.

If this disgusting pig, I refuse to call him a man, touches me….

I’ll kill him.

“Viola!” There’s hammering on the door. It’s only fucking Jude, minutes too late.

“It’s locked,” I call out to him as Bateman looks at me and then back at the door.

“Did you plan this,” the pig hisses at me.

I show him my dangerous smile, the one I like to show before I bury my blade in someone. “Oh, I plan fucking everything,” I say softly, dangerously.

Bateman has just enough time to run toward the door before I’m on him, launching myself onto his back. I lock an arm around his throat as he shouts, holding on, stabbing him in the neck with the pointed end of the pen. It’s precise enough that blood sprays out in a beautiful arc. His scream turns into a gurgle, his throat filling up with blood. Then he collapses to the floor.

I get to my feet, stepping over the widening pool of blood.

“Viola, what the fuck is going on in there?” Jude yells at me through the door. He’s pounding now like he’s trying to break it down.

“Shut the fuck up,” I snap at him, nabbing the keys from Bateman’s belt. I don’t have long. I shove the keys under the door gap and then dash to the bed, stripping the bottom sheet. I’m using it to mop up the blood as Jude storms into the room. His eyes whip to me and then to the dead body.

He actually facepalms.

“Just help me clean this up.”

“How, Viola? How are we going to clean this up? You were going to OD him and let someone find him dead of a heart attack. This is a little bit different, don’t you think?”

“Have you quite finished?” I glower at him.

“Yes.” His jaw clenches as he says it. “Yes, I have.”

“Then help me. I need bleach, and I need more sheets. Go to laundry. Get me one of those big laundry bags.”

“There are cameras in the hallways.” As if I need reminding.

“Yes, I know. You said they’re never checked.”

He gives me a dark look. “I’m sure if an orderly goes fucking missing, they’ll check them.”

“If he goes missing,” I snap.

Jude grimaces. blinking hard and then stalks off to get what I need muttering about needing the guys to come and sort me out.

I need Dante. That’s who I need.

Or Dino.

As soon as Jude leaves and the door closes behind him, I carry on mopping up the blood. There’s the sound of the door opening again. Fucking Jude. What now?

I tear my gaze away to look at the door.

The brunette nurse with the permanent frown from earlier is staring at me, eyes bugging out of her head. There are a few seconds where no one moves and she’s in shock, taking me in on all fours, blood flowing like a river around my hands and knees. The whites of her eyes are showing as she whips her gaze between me and the dead body. Then she screams.

And it’s fucking loud.
