Jude snorts. “Where’s Sinner when you need him to make everyone feel super awkward.”
At the mention of Dino’s nickname, all I see is blood and feel the darkness slide over me. Finding my release with Dante held it at bay for most of the day, but it’s back, slithering under my skin. I suck in a breath and shove it away and stalk over to Jude. He puts his beer down and pats his knee.
“Sit that fucking delightful ass right here, baby.”
I roll my eyes but straddle him anyway, grabbing his head in my to kiss the life out of him.
“You fucking lied,” he says in a shitty tone of voice after I’ve sucked every last drop of beer from his lips. “You told me we were leaving together.”
“Just shut the fuck up,” I chide him lightly. “I’ve had a crappy day at work.” I’m done with men whining. Someone starts to massage my shoulders, and I don’t look to see who it is. It’s Lorcan, making up for the lost time, easing the pain.
“Is this what you need?” he asks, voice soft and seductive.
“Fuck, yes,” I say, looking deep into Jude’s hazel orbs, which are practically glowing right now. For a split second, I wonder if he’s sober. Probably not, if the beer on his breath is anything to go by. But better beer than benzos.
I need Jude alert and firing on all cylinders if I’m to pull off my plan.
Lorcan starts kissing my neck, so I close my eyes. I don’t open them when Jude starts lifting my pajama top to massage one breast and suck the nipple of the other, causing waves of pleasure to erupt from my core.
“Please tell me I haven’t just walked into an orgy starring my brother and my ex,” says a bitchy voice.
“Okay, who let the Pirahana in?” drawls Jude.
I open my eyes to see Saskia standing in the middle of the kitchen with her hands over her eyes. “Fuck off, Jude. Have you quite finished whatever disgusting thing you were doing to Viola?”
“Sorry, Sassy. I forgot you were home early,” Lorcan says to his sister.
Jude snorts a laugh as I tug my pajama top down. Lorcan just exhales, stepping away from me, and goes to welcome his sister. I don’t know how to greet Lorcan’s sister, so I give her a look. It’s not a hateful look, so it’s definitely an improvement.
I also get off Jude’s crotch.
As much as I enjoyed being on top of it, I doubt Saskia would approve.
I shoot Jude a look. “Saskia lives here?” I say in a low voice while Saskia talks to her brother.
“Apparently,” he shrugs.
“Lor was worried about my safety,” Saskia says, cutting in. She comes right up to me and throws her arms around me. “V, so good to see you.” I stiffen in her embrace. What is it with all these people who want to hug?
“Sorry, I forgot you hate being touched,” she coos, stepping back with a smile on her face. “Oh, my goodness. You’ve lost weight. You look amazing.”
I blink at her.
“The food was like shit, and some days we didn’t eat, Sas,” says Jude, not bothering to get up, taking another sip of his beer.
She rounds on Jude. “I wasn’t talking to you.” Her eyes run over him from top to bottom. “Although you’ve lost weight too, you look fucking awful for it.”
Lorcan rolls his gaze upward, and Jude looks thunderous, but Saskia doesn’t seem bothered. I haven’t seen her in so long, but it’s coming back to me why I decided to like her. She takes no shit from anyone. I can respect that.
While Saskia goes off to put her shopping bags in her room, I take Lorcan aside.
“Saskia is staying here? With Dante? Is that wise?” The last time they were under the same roof, Dante tried to kill her.
Lore shrugs. “She moved in when Dante fucked off. We didn’t think he was coming back. It’s fine. Me, Jude, and Dan have taken up one of the other apartments. This is now the girls’ apartment.”
I give him a strange look. “Dan? He lets you call him Dan?”
Lorcan’s brow creases. “It’s his name. What the fuck do I call him then?”
