Chapter Three

Ravick

The scent of an omega entering estrous was the most delicious thing I had ever smelled. The aroma of her decadent slick had called to me from deep in the forest and I knew that I had to have her, knew that I needed to hear her scream my name as she came all over my cock. She was meant to be mine and I would claim her as such. I’d take her. All of her.

When I had arrived at the clearing outside the wall, I had thought that I was the luckiest alpha alive, but then I’d caught sight of the other men from the wilds. They looked like savages, adorned in animal leathers, painted with mud and clay, and armed to the teeth with primitive swords and knives. I had thought that I would overpower them easily, but they were more formidable opponents than they had seemed.

I’d fought the other alphas for the right to claim her, but they were strong too. When she begged for all three of us to fuck her, I hadn’t been able to deny her the alpha cock she so desperately needed.

We had all fucked her. Hard. Even now, my cock stiffened just thinking about it.

I sniffed the air and tested her scent, judging that she still had a few hours left of her estrous, but the worst was over now. Now that her heat was beginning to abate, I took a moment to study her features. She was small, like most omegas were. She was no more than five foot tall with delicate features, curvy hips, long legs, and slender thighs. Her small, pert breasts were pinkened, and I smirked, catching her eyes for but a moment. She blushed, fully aware of my scrutiny of her naked body but I didn’t stop. I dropped my eyes, gazing over the rest of her. Her legs were coated with slick and the wet remnants of our fucking. Her entire body was flushed, still likely heated from the results of mating three alphas.

Triss was the most beautiful woman I had ever laid eyes upon. Her hair was red like fire and so lush and soft that I’d had to run my fingers through it the first moment I could. Freckles embellished the tops of her cheeks and even ventured across the cute little tip of her nose. Pale skin like that of an alabaster rose was pinkened with the throes of her lust and the intensity of her heat. Emerald green eyes stared up into mine, both innocent and feisty as an omega was meant to be. Rosy pink lips parted, and I yearned to kiss her once more, but then everyone started yelling and screaming.

The four of us were under attack.

Men that I recognized from the city surged from inside the walls, armed to the teeth with weapons and ammunition meant to take us down. They moved in formation and with experience as they surrounded the four of us and pointed their guns in our direction. It was a military squad. Triss squeaked with fear in my arms and Garret, Lothgar, and I stiffened. It was in our nature to protect our omega, and now that we had found her, we were never going to let her go.

I’d kill whomever stood in my way.

Garret unsheathed his sword. Lothgar armed himself with his curved ones. I freed the dagger from my belt and prepared myself for a fight. They weren’t going to take my omega now that I’d found her. I’d kill them before they would even lay a finger on her.

I surged forward toward a face I found familiar, but I wasn’t quick enough. Time seemed to slow as the gentle hush of a dart gun pulsed and red-feathered needles raced in our direction.

We didn’t even have a chance to defend ourselves before a round of tranquilizer darts pierced into our necks. I growled, gripping the end of the dart and pulling it free. It didn’t matter though. The tranquilizer was already beginning to take effect. In less than a second, my legs went numb and my skin tingled as I lost track of my limbs.

Slowly, inky blackness surged through my veins and I gradually lowered to the ground. I fought with every ounce of my being, but the drug was far too strong. Hazy shadows overtook the edges of my vision more and more until I could hardly see at all. Still, the only thing I could think of was my omega. I had to keep her safe. I curled my body around Triss, using everything I had left to protect her. She was so exhausted from her ordeal between the three of us that she’d already fallen asleep.

It didn’t take much longer for me to pass out beside her.

* * *

I woke up thoroughlypissed off. Gone was the bright warmth from the sun and the fresh wild air, only to be replaced with the sterile rancid air of the city. Opening my eyes, I found myself in a room with white walls and a white ceiling. It was disorienting and far too bright at first. Sluggishly, I pushed myself up to a seated position on my elbows and blinked several times, forcing the room to slowly come into focus.

My body roiled with anger and there was little I could do to stop its pull. My alpha had finally come to life and now, there was no stopping it. Fury heated my veins and burned away the tranquilizer. My head gradually became clearer as more time passed and I began to look around.

Three of the four walls were made from white plaster. The fourth was a solid wall of thick glass and on the other side was a group of men and women, all in white laboratory coats. I narrowed my eyes and growled furiously in their direction, but they never even flinched, let alone moved their gazes from mine. I glared at them, watching as more white coats gathered outside our prison.

Beside me, Garret and Lothgar were beginning to stir. The three of us had been haphazardly deposited on the floor, but not Triss. She’d been tucked into a soft, king-sized bed and she was still fast asleep.

Good. We’d worn her out. She’d needed to be fucked good and hard in order to alleviate her heat and when I sniffed the air, I recognized that the scent of her estrous had begun to fade. Her lustful hysteria should have abated and would be far more manageable once she eventually woke once more.

Garret and Lothgar growled together and for the first time, a few of the women watching us faltered. They’d risen beside me and were now taking in our surroundings, just like I was.

“What the fuck is this,” Garret snarled.

“If you don’t release us, I’ll kill you,” Lothgar threatened the audience on the other side of the glass. “I’ve never been defeated in battle. Fight me at your own risk.”

“We’re deep underground,” I finally answered. “We’ve been taken captive by the Genwell corporation, no doubt for use in their scientific experiments and study.”

My sight was heightened, far more perceptive than before when I was forced to live under the city’s suppressants. I could see the Genwell name embroidered onto the white coats of the people watching us. Now that we’d been taken here, we’d be lucky to ever get out. We’d live and die here with very little chance at escape.

In the city’s eyes, we’d ceased being human.

We were lab rats, meant to be examined and studied for the rest of our lives and there was nothing that was going to save us.

Garret rushed at the glass, making a fist and punching as hard it as he could. I flinched and he groaned with agony, smearing the glass with his blood.
