“I guess,” Emilia said, shrugging. “First we put tokens in the cages so we could dance with the employees instead of getting pawed on the dance floor.

“Sun gods,” Ra’as muttered, thinking about that press of male flesh against his sweet Emilia.

“But the guy in the cage wanted to, um…well, he wanted to take me home with him,” Emilia said.

Of course he had. A man would have to be made of stone not to want that.

“So, I got out of there fast,” she continued. “But I had a message from April that she was leaving.”

“She left you there alone?” Ra’as felt fury rising again in his chest.

“She clearly needed to let off some steam,” Emilia said. “We comm’d, and she seemed happy. So, I came home.”

“You took the gadabout after drinking?” he asked.

“It wasn’t your gadabout,” she said, looking offended. “And I obviously used a conductor droid.”

Of course she had used a conductor droid.

For all that she looked like a delicious little harlot, curled up on his couch in that dress, she was a good girl. A very good girl…

“Did you miss me?” she asked him teasingly, blinking up at him with those hypnotic hazel eyes.

“Fuck, Emilia,” he groaned.

“I think you did,” she said, her eyes sparkling. “I think you missed me. Admit it.”

“Did you miss me?” he asked instead.

“Do you always answer a question with a question?” she whispered, leaning in confidentially.

“Do you?” he whispered back.

She was so close he could see the blue starbursts in her hazel eyes, and smell her sweet shampoo.

“Your ears are pricking up,” she whispered.

That’s not the only thing pricking up, sweetheart.

“I’m interested in what you have to say,” he murmured.

“Can I touch them?” she asked.

“Sure,” he choked.

Sun gods, but he was putty in her hands.

He was paralyzed with anticipation as she slid closer, then hiked up her dress in frustration to straddle his lap.

His body surged with need, and he knew she could feel the steel of him pressed against her heat.

But it didn’t seem to offend her, She was too fascinated with his ears. She leaned forward to touch them gently, putting her breasts in reach of his hungry mouth.

He shuddered and gripped the arm of the sofa in his effort not to rip that dress from her and crush her against him.

“So soft,” she murmured as she cupped his ears and stroked them.

Each featherlight touch sent a searing bolt of lust through him.

“Emilia,” he murmured warningly.

“Is it okay?” she asked, her eyes meeting his, looking worried.

“It’s good,” he admitted. “Too good.”

Her eyes widened.

“I know you said you wouldn’t touch me again, but—” she began.

And then he was tangling his hands in her hair, pulling her close to stop her words with a savage kiss.
